After slamming N.Y.C. influencers for being "boring" in a video uploaded on March 7, TikTok user @martinifeeny shared an unfortunate update with her followers about one month later.
In the TikTok video posted on April 3, user @martinifeeny — who revealed her real name is actually Bridget — said that she lost her job after the original video was posted. She shared the news in response to a comment from another TikTok user.
"Don't let them bully you... acquired style felt seen by this so you're absolutely correct," read the comment she was responding to in her recent upload. (@acquiredstyle is the username of a popular N.Y.C. influencer Brigette Pheloung).
Bridget explained in the clip, "Do you guys want to know what's crazy? Yeah, I lost my job because of that original video. I worked for the biggest luxury fashion brand in the world." She adds, "That's why I was bored because they're obsessed with those girls."

"It's crazy, it's like the only people they work with," the TikToker continued. "But yeah, god forbid you like speak your mind to your 90 followers at the time. You get clipped... crazy right? Anyway, stay boring I guess. Because if you're not and you speak your mind, clipped! Done!"
Although she didn't explain why she was fired, Bridget teased she'd "be happy to share" more details in future posts.
Bridget (@martinifeeny) and Pheloung (@acquiredstyle) didn't immediately reply to PEOPLE's request for comment.
Drama swirled online after Bridget posted the original video calling out N.Y.C. influencers. "Im SOOO bored by all these influencers lol," she captioned the clip of her rant.
While she didn't explicitly mention any influencers by name, social media users began to connect the dots.

"All right, guys, I’m just gonna say it, I hate all of the New York influencers, I think they’re all boring as f--- and they’re all carbon copies of one another. They all wear the same exact f------ bracelet. They all have the same exact f------ hand chain that someone else influenced them to get," she said in the video.
Though she added a disclaimer of "no hate," Bridget proceeded to call out the influencers for being "basic" and buying clothes from the same places. "I feel like they should be the influencees, not the influencers," she added.
"I don't know, not even the New York ones. Just like all … these girls. They all get panic attacks. They all shop at Revolve," the original clip concluded. "Yeah, boring. Let me know if anyone agrees."

Users quickly let their opinions be known as they flooded her comment section. Bridget not only started a conversation on her post, but opened the topic up for discussion across social media and beyond.
Some influencers who felt singled out even responded directly — Pheloung being one of them, stitching the rant in a since-deleted video that saw the 27-year-old creator silently mocking the original. She has 1.5 million followers on TikTok and upwards of 798,000 Instagram followers.
After Bridget's hot take on "boring" N.Y.C. influencers took social media by storm, she spoke with Vulture about the shocking response she didn't expect to receive upon posting the video to her platform of "like 90 followers" (which has since grown to over 4.4K followers to date).
