Matthew McConaughey is getting to the bottom of things!
The actor, 55, has teamed up with several A-listers for Uber Eats' anticipated Super Bowl commercial, which sees him exploring a loaded conspiracy theory about football.
Released on Tuesday, Feb. 4, the ad follows the Oscar winner as he explains that he believes football was invented to sell food. As he dives into his theory, he takes on the role of people throughout the history of football and reenacts various situations with the help of celebrities, such as Martha Stewart, Charli xcx, Kevin Bacon, Greta Gerwig and Sean Evans.

"Look, from the very beginning, football’s been a conspiracy to make us hungry," the True Detective alum begins the 60-second spot. "But let me tell you where it all started."
The scene cuts and transports viewers to 1876, the birth of football, where colonial-garb-clad McConaughey is holding a football and explaining that it is nicknamed a "pig skin" to "make people crave bacon."
The Footloose star appears next to him and says, "Everybody loves bacon!"

Next, the actor theorizes over how Buffalo, N.Y., got a football team, the Buffalo Bills. The ad then cuts to a scene of Evans, host of Hot Ones, chowing down on wings at a restaurant with a group of people. "These wings deserve a team," he says to his peers.
McConaughey, with his hair long and styled in a comb-over, directs one guy at the table, "Figure out a good team name for Buffalo, Bill."
In the next scene, the Interstellar actor is dressed as the Chicago Bears' former coach Mike Ditka, as former defensive lineman William Perry asks him, "Do I have to be called refrigerator?" Mustached McConaughey simply replies, "Yes."
McConaughey narrates that "even Peyton was in on it" as the scene shows the actor dressed in Manning's Denver Broncos jersey. "Omaha!" he shouts on the field before whispering "steak." "Omaha! Steak."
People in suits gather in an NFL office to discuss how the Super Bowl LIX halftime show is presented by an apple, and the "360" singer promptly takes a bite out of the fruit. McConaughey continues, "In a studio named after —" and the cookbook author interrupts, "A salad!"

At the end, McConaughey is interrupted by the Barbie director, who asks him, "You want me to make a movie about a football conspiracy?" before gently letting him down.

The new commercials follow previous teasers that feature people from the commercial, including one with Stewart and Charli xcx playing an internet trend. In another, McConaughey is unrecognizable as he pays homage to Ditka.

In the teaser, which PEOPLE exclusively revealed, the actor struts to a full-length mirror with a photo of Ditka taped beside it. The two look nearly identical as the Dallas Buyers Club star wears his hair combed back, a button down and tie underneath a Bears crewneck sweater. The physical transformation is made complete with a thick mustache.
While up close to his reflection, McConaughey practices saying "the Bears." "Sounds good but not the man," he critiques himself, before making another attempt.
The full ad for Uber Eats will air when the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles at Caesar's Superdome in New Orleans on Feb. 9. Kendrick Lamar will be manning the halftime show with a special appearance from longtime collaborator SZA.
Last year's Uber Eats' Super Bowl commercial featured Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, David and Victoria Beckham, Jelly Roll and Usher.
