Saquon Barkley's Fiancée Anna Congdon Shares Her Thoughts on His Massive $41 Million Contract with Eagles

Congdon and Barkley have been together since 2017 and share two kids

Anna Congdon is celebrating her fiancée Saquon Barkley's historic new contract!

After the Philadelphia Eagles announced on Tuesday, March 4 that they've agreed to a two-year, $41.2 million contract extension with Barkley, 28, who helped lead them to the 2025 Super Bowl win, Congdon, 26, reacted to the news on social media.

The mother of two (Congdon shares a daughter, Jada Clare Barkley, and a son, Saquon Barkley Jr. with the NFL star) reposted a graphic from the NFL to her Instagram Stories announcing Barkley's historic contract, which makes him the first running back in league history to earn $20 million or more a year.

In a second post, Congdon shared a photo her fiancée posted with his agent, Edward Berry, who helped secure him the historic deal.

She also commented on Barkley's post, writing, "Let Jesus cook!"

After the news was announced, Barkley posted a series of photos from the Super Bowl win on his Instagram. "Overflow! Grateful for the Eagles Organization, grateful for my team, grateful for the amazing fans in Philly. Fly Eagles Fly 🦅," he captioned the post.

One week before Barkley's first-ever Super Bowl appearance, which also came on his 28th birthday, the running back confirmed his engagement to Congdon during an interview with PEOPLE.

"I can't be the athlete I am and have the success I have so in my career without the help of her," Barkley said in February. "She's been super helpful and always has my back, not only in football but throughout life there's a lot that goes on. But as we continue to grow and mature and go through life together, we continue getting closer and continue to get even better."

Barkley said he and Congdon's life together is "beautiful" and that they often "just sit back and laugh...and just smile and think about where everything started."
