Queen Camilla had a royal outing on the same day that her husband, King Charles, was briefly hospitalized amid his cancer treatment.
The Queen, 77, visited the set of the ITV crime thriller Trigger Point in London on Thursday, March 27. She was seen getting behind the camera and chatting with lead actress Vicky McClure, who shared a look at the bomb suit she wears on the show as ex-military bomb disposal operative Lana Washington.
Trigger Point debuted its first series in January 2022 and was later picked up by Peacock for distribution in the U.S.

Currently filming their third season, the cast and crew gave Queen Camilla a thorough look behind the scenes of the drama, which follows McClure’s character as she heads up a Metropolitan Police bomb squad. The Queen watched a shot being coordinated by VFX supervisor Mark Robinson alongside executive producer Jed Mercurio and also got to use the clapper board.
“Trigger Point, take one,” she announced in a video shared by ITV on their Instagram page.
Queen Camilla also posed for pictures with an extended group of ITV staff in celebration of the network’s 70th anniversary this year.

Later on March 27, Buckingham Palace revealed that King Charles, 76, had been briefly hospitalized. In a statement obtained by PEOPLE, the palace said that the British monarch was hospitalized for a "short period of observation" at The London Clinic "following scheduled and ongoing medical treatment for cancer.”
The monarch canceled some of his planned events for Thursday as well as a scheduled trip to Birmingham the following day.
After spending the night at his London residence, Clarence House, King Charles was photographed for the first time following his hospitalization on March 28. He waved to onlookers from the backseat of a car as they drove away from the home.
Royal aides have not announced any further details on his particular condition or treatment program, however, palace sources say the King’s recovery continues to trend in a positive direction.
"[It is] the most minor bump in the road that’s very much heading in the right direction," a royal source said on Thursday.

King Charles announced his cancer diagnosis in February 2024, following a three-day hospital stay for a prostate procedure. (Although his type of cancer has not been publicly disclosed, it was later clarified that the King does not have prostate cancer.)
"The King is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure. He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible," Buckingham Palace said in a statement at the time. "His Majesty has chosen to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer."
