Princess Eugenie is ringing in her birthday with her sons, August and Ernest, by her side.

King Charles' niece turned 35 on March 23, and she posted a new photo with August, 4, and Ernest, 1, to celebrate the occasion. Princess Eugenie shares her children with husband Jack Brooksbank, and the picture provided a peek into how they spent her special day.

"Birthday besties..," Princess Eugenie captioned the Instagram image on her March 23 birthday, adding a string of festive emojis including a kissing face, party popper, cake, present and balloon.

The photo showed Eugenie smiling at the camera as she sat across from her kids at a pint-sized picnic table with plated food with August and Ernest were photographed from behind.

Princess Eugenie is one of just a few members of the British royal family who maintain a public presence on social media today, and she uses her platform to highlight a mix of her personal, professional and philanthropic updates.

Eugenie is the younger daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, and the Duchess of York also sent digital wishes for her 35th birthday.

"Wishing a wonderful birthday to my beloved daughter, @princesseugenie! It has been a joy to watch you grow into such an extraordinary person, full of kindness, wisdom, and strength," the Duchess of York, who is popularly known as Fergie, captioned a carousel on Instagram. "Your generosity and warmth brighten the lives of so many, and I am endlessly proud of all that you do. With all my love on your special day. X."

Fergie's montage opened with a throwback photo of her walking hand in hand with Princess Eugenie and her elder daughter, Princess Beatrice, when they were little girls. The trio twinned in similar spring outfits: white t-shirts with patterned skirts!

The post rolled to show a previously seen selfie of the Duchess of York with her younger daughter and closed with a picture of a pink birthday cake that revealed a new nickname for Eugenie.

"Happy birthday Eugie Boogie," read a message in frosting on the elegant confection, which was lit up with candles in a grand room.

A close look at the tablescape hinted that the treat may have been served at a party for Eugenie, as there were more photos of the princess as a little girl below it on the table.

Fergie shared more birthday love for her daughter on her Instagram Stories, which Eugenie shared on her own account. The first shot showed them smiling with a statue of an elephant, and she tagged the Elephant Family, a charity that they both back as patrons. The organization works to protect Asian elephants from extinction and was co-founded by Queen Camilla's late brother, Mark Shand. Queen Camilla and King Charles honor Mark's legacy today by serving as the Elephant Family's joint presidents, with Eugenie and Fergie endorsing in patronage roles.

The next slide was a glam set of black-and-white snaps of the Duchess of York, Eugenie, Ernest and Ayda Field Williams. Princess Eugenie appeared to sport the same outfit that she was wearing in a picture she posted for her birthday in 2024, indicating that may have been from a celebration then.

Eugenie also shared a birthday wish from The Anti-Slavery Collective, the organization she founded with friend Julia de Boinville in 2017 to eradicate modern slavery and trafficking, to her Instagram Stories.

While Sunday was her birthday, Princess Eugenie was thinking of her sister Princess Beatrice, 36. In an essay for British Vogue published on the same day, Beatrice opened up for the first time about the "months of sheer worry" before the premature birth of her daughter Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, who was born early on January 22.

"Proud of you Beabea and mighty Athena," supportive sister Eugenie wrote on her Instagram Stories, sharing a snap of her sister and niece with a link to the article she described as "so important."
