Emma Heming Willis is celebrating a "love of a lifetime" with husband Bruce Willis.

The British model and actress, 46, tied the knot with the actor, 70, on March 21, 2009. In honor of their sixteenth wedding anniversary, she penned a sentimental tribute on Instagram on Friday, March 21. She opened up about the ups and downs of their relationship and their dedication to building a "timeless" bond.

"Today marks 16 years with the love of a lifetime," Emma captioned her post, alongside a photo of herself happily embracing Bruce, who was also smiling.

"We’ve shared monumental highs and devastating lows, and through it all, we’ve built something timeless," she continued. "I’m so deeply grateful for every chapter I’ve had with him—and all the ones we’ll continue to write, in our language of unconditional love 💙."

She reshared the post to her Instagram Story to the tune of Van Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl," writing, "16 years 🤍 3/21/09." In another Instagram Story, she shared a snap of her engagement ring and wedding band.

The sweet posts come two days after Emma celebrated the Moonlighting star's 70th birthday. On Wednesday, March 19, she shared a photo of Bruce giving a thumbs up and standing on an all-terrain vehicle. She asked his fans to "flood him with all the love today."

"He will feel it, I swear he will," she captioned her Instagram post in part. "You are one powerful bunch. I love how you rally for him, and I’m so grateful that he has you ✨."

In a follow-up post on her Instagram Stories the next day, she shared a video showing dozens of messages from her Instagram followers and thanked fans for sending him well wishes.

"Bruce had a great day. YOU made it very special ✨," Emma said. Some of the messages featured in Emma's post included fans who wrote, "Happy birthday Bruce! Yippi-ki-yay m---------- will always belong to you," and, "You're the most amazing actor and we love you!!!! Your smile lights up the world," among others.

Emma is also stepmom to Bruce's three oldest daughters: Rumer Willis, 36, Scout Willis, 33, and Tallulah Willis, 31, whom he shares with ex-wife Demi Moore, 62. The trio also took to Instagram to wish the Die Hard icon well on his 70th birthday. "Happy 70th to my favorite guy. I love my family 🎈🎈," Tallulah wrote on Instagram.

Moore also celebrated her ex-husband and close friend's birthday with a sweet Instagram carousel showing off photos of Bruce with his family. “Happy birthday, BW! We love you ♥️,” she captioned the post.

Bruce's family previously announced in 2022 that he would retire from acting after he was diagnosed with aphasia. The family shared that his condition had progressed into frontotemporal dementia in early 2023, and Bruce has largely stayed out of the spotlight since his diagnosis. Emma has since taken on a caregiver role for her husband and semi-frequently shares updates with his fans through Instagram.

Emma celebrated her husband earlier this year when she shared an undated photo of herself and Bruce on Instagram to celebrate Valentine's Day on Feb. 14. "You + laughter = my favorite love story ❤️," she wrote.
