Star Jones Celebrates Seventh Wedding Anniversary with Husband Ricardo Lugo: 'Love That Never Fails'

Star Jones is celebrating her forever love!

The former The View cohost, 63, penned a sweet tribute to her husband Ricardo Lugo on Instagram to celebrate their seventh wedding anniversary on Tuesday, March 25. 

Sharing a picture of the two cuddled up with matching smiles and glasses of champagne in their hands, she began her caption with the bible verse, "Love never fails."

"Seven years ago, I stood before God, family, and friends and vowed to love Ricardo for a lifetime," Jones wrote. "Today, I can say with my whole heart that love—true love—only deepens with time."

She added, "Life brings its challenges, but when you are blessed to find your person, you walk through them together, stronger, hand in hand."

Praising her husband, Jones wrote, "Ricardo, you are my joy, my peace, my safe place. Every day with you is a reminder of God’s grace and the beauty of love that never fails. Seven years later, and somehow, we are more in love—if that’s even possible."

The TV personality concluded the caption with a simple message: "Happy Anniversary, my love! Here’s to forever. ❤️ "

The tribute was shared as a joint post between Jones, Lugo and her court show Divorce Court, which she has hosted since 2022. 

Jones and Lugo, both attorneys, made their relationship public in 2016 and were engaged the following year. They tied the knot in 2018 on a Royal Caribbean cruise in the Bahamas in front of 150 guests.

According to the TV host, the couple met via an online dating platform, where they had similar usernames. "I used my real, given name, Starlet. And it said Starlet54LawyerNewYork," Jones told Tamron Hall in 2020. "Ricardo’s was Ricardo54LawyerChicago."

The two talked for eight weeks before going on their first date to a French restaurant, where they did a champagne tasting.

Earlier this month, Lugo shared a photo with his wife on Instagram to mark her birthday. “Wishing my beautiful wife a Happy Birthday 🎈 🍾,” he captioned a snap of them in matching red ensembles.

Over the years, Jones has been dedicated to improving her health and encouraging others to do the same. She opened up about her journey in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in 2024.

"The most important thing is for men and women to take care of their health," the actress said. "And I chose living over dying."

"One of my very favorite lines is from Shawshank Redemption. 'You either choose to live or you choose to die,' " she continued. "I chose to live and I took care of myself, and literally 20 years later, I have taken care."
