Billie Lourd is "obsessed" with her children as she fully embraces motherhood.

While speaking with PEOPLE at the Mid-Century Modern premiere hosted at the DGA Theater Complex in Los Angeles on Tuesday, March 25, the Scream Queens actress, 32, raved about her two kids. Lourd, who shares her kids with her husband Austen Rydell, also 32, says that her children have the "spark" in them to become performers, but she's not going to pressure them to choose any particular profession.

"Definitely, but I don't want to put pressure on them to do anything," she tells PEOPLE of whether she sees the spark of performance in her kids. "My kids are hysterical and cool and really good dancers and just awesome. I'm obsessed with my kids."

However, she teases, "We've all wanted someone to be a doctor in this family. Let's hope we get a doctor out of them."

"Whatever they want to do, I'll support," she concludes.

A few months after announcing their engagement in June 2020, Lourd and Rydell quietly welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Kingston Fisher, 4. Two years later, in December 2022, the pair added their second child, daughter Jackson Joanne, 2.

While speaking with PEOPLE at the premiere on Tuesday, the Ticket to Paradise actress shares that her favorite part of motherhood has been watching her children "try new things and succeed at them."

"My son just learned to ride a bike without training wheels, and he's 4. And just watching him learn new things is the most magical, crazy thing," she says. "He's so good at everything he tries to do and just watching him try new things and succeed at them and feeling proud of himself is just such a beautiful thing."

While catching up with PEOPLE at the premiere of the documentary Watershed in July 2024, the proud parents candidly responded to a question about whether they are getting enough sleep with their kids being a little older now. With two kids under 5, The Last Showgirl actress and the Wildflower producer admitted that they "do a lot of cosleeping" in their household.

"No. That’s not a thing. A little more, but they still wake up," Lourd said of getting any sleep. "It never ends."

"It’s like they've slept through the night five nights in a row and then that’s out the window," Rydell chimed in.

Lourd added that their kids often climb into bed with them at night. "Yeah, we do a lot of cosleeping in our house," the mom of two shared, before adding "'Whatever works' is my motto."
