Jennifer Lopez Calls Child Emme, 17, the 'Best Date Ever' as the Duo Enjoy Broadway Opening of Othello in N.Y.C.

Jennifer Lopez had a special evening on Broadway!

On Monday, March 24, the "On the Floor" singer, 55, shared photos to her Instagram from her night out with her child Emme, 17.

The Unstoppable actress shared selfies and a sweet video of the duo shimmying, as they prepared for the evening. At the end of the quick clip, Lopez leaned in for a kiss.

"Othello premiere with the best date ever ✨" she wrote in the caption.

On Sunday, March 23, The Boy Next Door actress stepped out with Emme at her side as they attended the opening night of Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal's new revival of Othello.

In photos taken outside of the Barrymore Theatre in New York City, the duo could be seen wearing coordinating dark looks. Lopez sported a navy two-piece outfit from designer Zuhair Murad’s fall-winter 2024 couture collection. The look included a midriff-baring top and a floor-length skirt, both of which featured a sparkly pattern of bedazzled stones. She paired her look with a black fur statement coat and silver circular earrings, and had her hair styled in a tight bun.

Emme, meanwhile, opted for a black and white pinstriped suit with a printed tie and a gray button-down shirt, along with chunky black loafers. The teen also wore a pair of black eyeglasses and gold earrings.

Lopez may be an actress, singer, dancer and business mogul, but her most important job is being the mom of her 17-year-old twins, Maximilian "Max" David Muniz and Emme. The Mother actress welcomed her kids with ex-husband Marc Anthony in February 2008.

“It’s unconditional love,” she told PEOPLE. “I know everybody feels this way about their kids, but I just feel like they’re super special. I can’t wait to see what they do.”

She recently celebrated her twins' 17th birthday with a sweet video tribute on Instagram. The video contains photos and videos of the family from throughout the years. A few of the moments included in the montage are a clip of the trio posing for photos on a tire swing, Lopez embracing her kids backstage, and a selfie of them curled up in a restaurant booth.
