Bill Belichick and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, have been dating for over two years.

The former New England Patriots coach, 72, began seeing Hudson, 24, in early 2023 after his split from Linda Holliday — his girlfriend of 16 years.

Hudson, who is 48 years younger than Belichick, is a former Bridgewater State University cheerleader. The two reportedly first met in February 2021 while Hudson was still in college.

Belichick and Hudson's relationship was made public in June 2024. Six months later, they made their red carpet debut at a gala for the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.

She went to cosmetology school

While she was in high school, Hudson simultaneously enrolled in cosmetology school at the New England Hair Academy and commuted daily while balancing her academics, she wrote on Instagram in November 2019.

She continued attending classes at cosmetology school while she was in college, working on her degree online and participating in cheerleading practice at nights. In November 2019, she graduated.

“After many trials, tribulations, countless sacrifices and a few last minute trips to Texas, I have found myself to the end of this incredible year of growth,” she wrote in the caption of her post commemorating her graduation.

She was a cheerleader in college

Hudson attended Bridgewater State University, where she was a cheerleader. In 2021, she and her team were NCA Collegiate Champions.

She decided to continue her career after graduating and joined the East Celebrity Elite cheer squad, competing with the group in February 2024 to go on to the World Championships.

“I’d like to put out how grateful I am for the sport that kept me anchored through difficult seasons of adolescence and young adulthood, engrained resilience, discipline, and punctuality into my bones…and brought me lifelong friends,” Hudson wrote in an Instagram tribute on National Women in Sports Day.

She and Belichick first met in 2021

Belichick and Hudson first reportedly met in February 2021 when they were seated next to each other on a flight from the Boston area to Florida, per TMZ. The outlet reported that Belichick signed one of Hudson’s textbooks, Deductive Logic.

"Thanks for giving me a course on logic!” he wrote, per a photo obtained by the outlet.

Belichick and Hudson were first spotted together in January 2023. The couple were seen walking through the French Quarter in New Orleans, and in September of the same year, they were again spotted in the city on a dinner date.

Former Patriots players joked about Belichick and Hudson's age difference

Belichick’s former Patriots team members didn’t spare him from their roasts during The Roast of Tom Brady in May 2024, teasing him for his and Hudson’s large age difference.

Rob Gronkowski quipped, “Coach, you used to talk about Foxborough High School when we sucked. But now I know why you were so obsessed with Foxborough High School: you were scouting your new girlfriend.”

Tom Brady also chimed in, poking fun at Belichick sneaking out of her home in the early morning.

"When somebody asked me which ring was my favorite, I used to say, ‘The next one,' ” he said. “Now that I’m retired, my favorite is that Ring camera that caught Coach Belichick slinking out of that poor girl’s house at 6 a.m. a few months ago."

In June 2024, TMZ confirmed Hudson and Belichick's romance. The former cheerleader has since defended her rather unconventional relationship on Instagram.

Social media users have been relentless in poking fun at Hudson and Belichick. In February 2025, the couple were spotted at a UNC basketball game and later made headlines when a video of Belichick allegedly asleep in the stands surfaced online.

The rapper joked that he's been a football fan since "back when the Cowboys was good," "back when the Chiefs was bad" and "I remember, what was it — Bill Belichick's girlfriend wasn't even born yet?"
