Friends Experience Announces Second Permanent U.S. Location in a Spot That Will Make Total Sense to Fans

Friends fans can soon relive their favorite sitcom without visiting New York.

A permanent location of The FRIENDS Experience is officially coming to Las Vegas in honor of the series’ 30th anniversary. While there is already a permanent exhibit in New York City, the new site, titled “The One in Vegas,” will be the first flagship out West and is set to open later in 2024. 

Similar to “The One in New York City,” the Las Vegas experience will allow guests to dance around the fountain like the cast does during the opening credits, or pose for a photo opp inside the fan-favorite Central Perk.

Additional settings from the show will be recreated at the new location as well, including the Las Vegas chapel where Ross and Rachel drunkenly tie the knot in season 5.

Visitors will also be able to learn about the show’s production and costume design or stop by the gift shop to pick up a nostalgic memento to take home.

The exhibit is suitable for all ages and will be located at The District at the MGM Grand hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. It was curated by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment, Original X Productions (OGX) and Warner Bros. Television Group.

“We've seen fans from all over the world embrace the chance to relive their favorite moments and connect with the show in a whole new way,” says Peter van Roden, Senior Vice President, Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment. 

Van Roden continues, “With Las Vegas premiering as the West Coast flagship in our global lineup of destinations, there's even more to look forward to as we continue celebrating the 30th anniversary of FRIENDS."

In addition to the New York City and Las Vegas locations, there will also be a permanent London experience, “The One in London,” opening this summer. 

The company has also hosted limited-time exhibitions in 22 cities around the globe, including Amsterdam, Toronto, Melbourne and more. There is also an “active location” in Boston that features similar activities as the New York City flagship, per the press release.

The beloved sitcom first premiered in September 1994 and starred Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt Le Blanc and David Schwimmer. The series concluded after 236 episodes in May 2004.
