Bridget Jones Is Finally a Winner! Renée Zellweger Spotted on Set with Best Producer Award

Bridget Jones really is getting her life together!

Renée Zellweger was spotted in character on the set of Bridget Jones’s Baby at London’s Tate Britain on Sunday, toting an award for British Daytime Television’s best producer of 2010.

Judging by the date on the trophy and the slim figure Zellweger’s cut in her floral dress, we’re assuming this sequence predates Jones’s pregnancy. The award also gives some credence to Zellweger’s assurances that her infamously hapless character is growing up.

“She’s a bit more mature and has moved on, as we all have,” the actress told Entertainment Weekly in its latest cover story.

But that doesn’t mean Jones has completely outgrown her shenanigans. In the franchise’s third installment, she’s involved in yet another love triangle between her two potential baby daddies – Colin Firth‘s Mark Darcy, and Patrick Dempsey‘s as-yet-unnamed handsome billionaire character.

“I think that’s her essence, really,” Zellweger told EW of her chaotic alter ego. “All of us do things in our personalities that we don’t outgrow.”

Bridget Jones’s Baby is expected to hit theaters Sept. 16, 2016.
