Mindy Kaling's Upset that B.J. Novak Is Starring in a McDonald's Movie

Mindy Kaling may have just signed a lucrative book deal with her former Office costar, ex-boyfriend and now-bestie B.J. Novak, but their close friendship could be in serious trouble.

The Mindy Project star Tweeted her dismay late Friday over the fact that Novak has been signed to star alongside Michael Keaton in a new biopic about McDonald’s executive Ray Kroc.

“Great, just heard BJ is in the McDonalds movie,” she wrote. ” ‘Cause he’s the one of us WHO IS THE LIFELONG DEVOTEE.”

She followed it up with an Instagram post, writing, “BJ is in the MCDONALDS MOVIE??!? There is no justice in the whole world.”

Kaling, 35, has been open about her love for the fast-food chain, sharing photos on social media, treating the cast and crew of her show to Shamrock Shakes and Happy Meals, and telling Conan O’Brien in March that she eats there about twice a week.

We’re sure she’ll make Novak pay for this. Possibly in McNuggets.
