Sara Carton is getting candid about her relationship status after Love Is Blind.

During an appearance on The Viall Files podcast on Thursday, March 13, Sara, 29, addressed speculation that she and her LIB costar Joey Leveille are now dating. Just days after fans saw her say no to then-fiancé Ben Mezzenga at the altar in the show’s season 8 finale, Sara clarified that she isn’t ready to jump into anything new yet.

“I’ve seen this a few times online in the past 24 hours — to be clear, me and Joey are not dating,” she said, later adding, “I definitely have no capacity to even think about a relationship.”

Still, Sara understood why people might think they’re together, noting that they formed a special bond before ultimately getting engaged to other people.

“There was a love square between me, Monica [Danús], Ben and Joey,” she explained. “We were all talking to each other until the second to last day in the pods. Of course, naturally in that situation and that circumstance, you do connect with people. I feel like me and Joey did establish a really great friendship.”

Like Sara and Ben, Monica and Joey left the pods engaged, but their wedding ended with Monica saying, "I don’t." After filming wrapped, Sara said she hadn’t kept in touch with Joey for five months until he visited her in Nashville with some friends.

“We called ourselves the Yee-Haw Crew. It’s such a good time, it’s all from cast,” she shared. “We grew really, really close with each other just because of the support for each other, knowing what we’ve all been through, and being able to be there for one another has been super important to me.”

Looking ahead, Sara admitted she couldn’t rule out a romantic connection with Joey, but for now, she’s keeping things platonic.

“I just overall, with this whole situation, I feel close with Joey,” she shared. “I’m fond of our relationship, but I feel very well-supported by everyone involved. I’m just very grateful that I’ve met him. We definitely have a friendship. We’re definitely not dating.”

“I don’t know what the future will hold,” she teased while smiling.

Sara ended her LIB journey unsure of her compatibility with Ben, telling him at the altar that she's "always wanted a partner to be on the same wavelength.” He then suggested that they stay together and continue to “grow,” and she told PEOPLE last week that they did just that — until he ghosted her.

"After the wedding day, with all my hesitations, I knew, I was like, I can't say 'yes' to a marriage today," she recalled. "But naturally, I'm constantly hoping that things could work or maybe without all the chaos of not living a normal life right now, but later, being able to get back into our routines... I was thinking possibly it could work."

"We continued to live together for a week or two after the wedding. And one day, he dropped me," she revealed. "We had a discussion of us being together, and that one day... he removed me from Find My Friends. I didn't hear much from him because he was out with friends drinking, which is fine. He was going to a Twins game, having fun. But I didn't hear much from him, saw that he removed me from Find My Friends, and that's when it told me the most."

It was then that Sara said felt she had “the most clarity of who Ben is,” and she knew she needed to move on. "I was shocked and I felt super duped that he just waited for the time just to drop me.”

"But I mean, it all made sense with everything that was coming to my attention throughout all of filming," she continued. "He was like, 'Oh, I thought we were broken up.' I'm like, 'That was never the discussion.' It was bizarre. It was crazy."
