Kylie Kelce and Kelly Clarkson keep it real with their kids, even when they're not on peak parenting form.
The Grammy winner joined Kelce as a guest on her hit podcast, Not Gonna Lie, in an episode released on Thursday, March 27. Among other points of discussion, the two moms swapped stories of their parenting highs and lows, and they agreed that it's normal to "mess up" and acknowledge such mistakes when talking to their kids.
"We're all trying our best ... We're gonna f--- up. We're gonna mess up. And we don't mean to, but I have this conversation with my kids too," said Clarkson, who is mom to daughter River Rose, 10, and son Remington "Remy" Alexander. "If I lose my temper on something ... I look at [my kids] and go, 'Okay. Mommy's human, and that was a human moment, and that was not where I should have gone, but I own it.' "

The Kelly Clarkson Show host maintained that she thinks it's "important" to show her kids that side of her too. "I just think this whole filtered perfection thing, that's not real," the singer added. "I think that being honest is the best."
Kelce — who is currently expecting her fourth daughter with former NFL star husband Jason — echoed the sentiment. She admitted she's found herself having similar conversations with her three kids Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, and Bennett, 2.
"There have been multiple times where I've put my girls to bed, and I will have a moment of like, 'I'm sorry that I raised my voice today about this. Next time, if we can listen the first time, then Mom doesn't have to get her serious voice,' " said the former athlete. "I always just like to take that moment to acknowledge that I don't wanna raise my voice. But ... we got there for a reason."

She went on to praise Clarkson's term for that specific parenting pitfall: "Explaining it as a human moment is perfect, because I mean, how many times have they yelled at us?" Kelce said.
The expecting mom continued, "There are days when Jason will come home, or I'll call my mom, and she'll be like, 'How's your day going?' And I'm like, 'I'm being bullied by a 3-year-old. It's not ideal, but it's happening today.' "
