In a new interview with 60 Minutes, released Sunday, March 23, the actor, 63, joked about where his wife Amal Clooney will sit during his upcoming Broadway debut in Good Night, and Good Luck, the stage adaptation based on his 2005 movie of the same name. “I'm not looking at them. I'm putting my wife in the very, very, very back,” he said when discussing his close proximity to the audience during his opening night on April 3. According to the program, Amal, 47, and the couple’s 7½-year-old twins Alexander and Ella, have been with George in New York as he prepares for his play. Asked if he wished he had done Broadway earlier in his career, Clooney said, "I don't know that I could've. I wasn't — I didn't do the work required to get there." The star also revealed during his 60 Minutes interview that he no longer wants to do romantic movies.
