Watch a Family Practice the Dance from Bride's Favorite Movie 8 Months Ahead of Surprise Wedding Performance

One bride's wedding day got a seriously personal touch thanks to the hard work of her family as they secretly rehearsed a months-in-the-making performance. And lucky for those of us not in attendance for the big day, they recorded the lead up to the big event for all the Internet to see!

The bride, Aimée Vis, is a huge fan of The Greatest Showman, so her sister Madelief "Maddie" Vis and her family found a way to tie in their favorite movie to their big day. In a series of videos posted to TikTok, Maddie shared clips of their family members practicing the "From Now On" dance from The Greatest Showman — in a wide range of locations — over the course of eight months.

“This idea came up when she got engaged, since we both love The Greatest Showman very much,” Maddie told Storyful.

Her family rehearsed the number, set to "From Now On," in a driveway, in their living rooms, on a beach at sunset, in their kitchens, in an actual dance studio, in their backyards and on their porches.

Cut to the wedding itself, and the bride's family appeared on the wedding dance floor in full costumes, reminiscent of the circus-themed musical movie itself. Completely synchronized, five family members geared up before an enthusiastic, cheering crowd.

"So this is how the act started, we came up out of nowhere in our outfits to make room in the middle of the crowd," Maddie began in the video's caption. "My dad had been practicing this singing part for a month to start the wedding act off with a bang 😍 I think he nailed it. We ended up adding a small dance in this song as well!"

She continued, "After this part we had a video running with photos of the bride and groom from when they were young until now. This was the start of the song ‘From Now On’. The part where the song becomes more upbeat, that’s where the real dance begins!!"

The father of the bride's solo was just one of many surprises for the bride. At the end of the dance, the groom, who had been sitting next to his bride, stood up and joined his new in-laws to continue in the performance. According to photos from the performance and Maddie's commentary, the groom joined in by singing the lyric, "Let this promise in me start, like an anthem in my heart," before joining in the group dance, which later turned into a flashmob with all the wedding guests.

The overwhelmed bride can be seen shouting, "Oh my God, oh my God!" in one clip as the entire crowd takes to the dance floor to join in.

Maddie shared another video of the dance itself, from multiple angles, which the crowd adored.

"So this is the part we had been practicing 8 months for!" she wrote. "Honestly I remember all this as kind of a blur so having all these videos to look back on is amazing."
