Connie Britton took full advantage of the Sunday night lights.

The Nashville alum, 57, stepped out for the 2024 Emmy Awards on Sunday, Sept. 15 with her longtime boyfriend, David E. Windsor.

Britton wore a strapless black gown, while Windsor donned a tuxedo for the occasion.

About halfway through the awards ceremony, Britton was joined on stage by Meredith Baxter and Susan Kelechi Watson for a tribute to television moms through the years.

Britton recounted some of her most well-known roles as a mother, including as "head of a haunted household who also happens to give birth to the antichrist," while Watson affirmed that TV mothers are "no longer one-dimensional, we have choices."

Off-screen, Britton is mom to son Yoby, whom she adopted in 2011, and she previously told Andy Cohen on SiriusXM's Radio Andy in 2023 that Windsor was "definitely stepping into that more paternal role."

The pair have been together since 2019, "right before COVID," she explained.

"I have an amazing man in my life now," she said, referencing Windsor, whom she first met after being "set up" at her friend's 50th birthday party.

"I walked into his party and I was like, 'Oh my gosh, I don't know a single soul at this party.' But I was like, 'It's OK, I just wanna celebrate him. It's his 50th birthday,'" Britton said, before adding, "And so I'm talking to my friend and he looks past me and he sees David across the room and he is like, 'There's someone here you have to meet.' And it was like, I'll never forget that moment because I turned around and I looked at who he was pointing at and I was like, 'Oh yeah, I wanna meet him.' "

Ironically, Britton said she neglected to follow through on the meet-cute, and instead told her friend to have David email her (and he did, the very next day!)
