Kanye West Claims Victory in Feud with Taylor Swift: 'I Am So Glad My Wife Has Snapchat'

Kanye West crashed Drake‘s concert on Wednesday night and bragged about Kim Kardashian West‘s shot at Taylor Swift.

“I am so glad my wife has Snapchat, ’cause now y’all can know the truth,” he told the crowd.

He was, of course, referring to the headline-making Snapchat story, which showed Swift allegedly approving West’s “Famous” lyrics. Swift says she never heard the finished song and didn’t know about the lyric in which West calls her a “bitch.”

West made a surprise appearance at Drake’s Summer Sixteen Tour stop in West’s hometown of Chicago. After the duo performed their collaboration “Pop Style,” the 39-year-old rapper quickly brought up the infamous #KimExplosedTaylorParty snaps.

“And can’t nobody talk s— about Ye no more!” he said, before swiftly jumping into his “Famous” verse about the 26-year-old “Shake It Off” singer.

It was the first time West has addressed the Snapchat story publicly.

Swift had previously expressed outrage over the lyrics, which say “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous.” Swift’s spokesperson had told PEOPLE the rapper “did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account,” adding, “She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that bitch famous.’ ”

West and his wife have maintained Swift approved the song, with the 35-year-old reality star releasing video of the phone call after an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians where she addressed the incident.

“For seven years, Kanye has continued to attack Taylor, attempting to incite hatred for her at his live shows and on social media, even going so far as portraying her naked in his most recent music video,” a source close to Swift told PEOPLE exclusively after the Snapchat story hit.

“His obsession with and harassment of Taylor over the last seven years is unhealthy and if he were not a celebrity, he would be considered a stalker,” continued the source.

Countered a West source: “Once again, Taylor Swift is playing the victim, As the recordings reveal, she is a liar and nothing she says will change the truth.”
