The 10-episode psychological thriller, debuting Friday, Oct. 25, follows Eli (Crystal), a child psychologist who loses his wife Lynn (Judith Light) and "encounters a troubled young boy, Noah (Jacobi Jupe), who seems to have a haunting connection to Eli’s past,” according to the synopsis. The description hints, "as Eli attempts to help Noah, their mysterious bond deepens." In new clip from the upcoming series obtained exclusively by PEOPLE, Eli reluctantly sits down with his therapist (Julia Chan), who asks Eli, “What’s new?” “Nothing much. I woke up, brushed my teeth, had coffee,” he starts. “Oh, well, then I found a small boy whose fingers were bloody on my front door. I went to help him, he almost ran into the center the street almost to get run over by a car.” “A former patient, or…” wonders Eli’s therapist. I’m supposed to be in denial, but it won’t last,” he acknowledges. “So can I just enjoy it for now?” His therapist furrows her brows, wondering if he’s “enjoying it.” Billy Crystal Teased Robert De Niro About His Acting Skills on Analyze This Set: ‘Is That All You Got?’ Eli (Billy Crystal) and his therapist (Julia Chan) on 's drama 'Before'.
