Danielle Baxter, 39, of Philadelphia, was arrested on Thursday, March 20, and charged with murder and other crimes including abuse of a corpse and possession of an instrument of crime with intention, online court records show. The alleged murder came to authorities’ attention just before 7 a.m. on Wednesday, March 19 when police responded to a report of someone screaming on the 800 block of Bells Mill Road, CBS News reports. Arriving officers found a victim, later identified as Jordan Baxter, 38, on a plastic sheet between two parked cars, police said, Fox 29 Philadelphia reports. Jordan sustained a gunshot wound to the back of his head, ABC 6 reports. Detectives allegedly found blood on a mattress inside the home where the couple lived, police said. Baxter was pronounced dead at 7:07 a.m. Detectives began investigating and arrested the victim’s wife the next day. Want to keep up with the latest crime coverage? Authorities have not disclosed any possible motive for the alleged murder. But on March 14, Danielle posted a message on Facebook hinting at trouble in her relationship with Jordan. “These females out here be plotting on your marriage and waiting for your downfall so they can come right on in and these men let them,” she wrote. The father of three worked for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority or SEPTA, the city’s public transit system. "SEPTA is saddened by the tragic loss of Jordan Baxter, who was a veteran Regional Rail engineer,” a spokesperson for SEPTA said in a statement, CBS News reports. “Our thoughts are with his loved ones at this difficult time.” A GoFundMe has been set up to support Jordan’s children and “to give him a proper funeral.” The Philadelphia Police Department did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for information.
