Michelle Williams has a good reason for not being on the Kamala Harris campaign trail with her former Destiny's Child members.
During a Tuesday, Oct. 29 episode of Sherri, the actress/singer, 45 revealed why she didn't appear at the rally for the Democratic presidential nominee, 60.
Because Williams is currently in the midst of starring in Death Becomes Her on Broadway, she couldn't attend Harris' campaign event in Houston last Friday, Oct. 25.
"I was so happy, but at the same time, it was the first time that I have not been able to be in person for something that I, you know, wanted to be at. And that is a sacrifice we make [with] Broadway. I couldn't be there, but they represented and held me down in their own way," she said of her former bandmates Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland.

When host Sherri Shepherd said people couldn't think of the other members of Destiny's Child without her, Williams said she understood, but their physical proximity often poses a challenge.
"They live in L.A., I'm in Atlanta and they'll see them ... paparazzi will get them at dinner. We ain't together all the time," the Children of Eden star said, laughing.
But Williams added the caveat that the trio "are together more than people think."
"But there are times I'm not able to be [there]. #IvegotthingsthatpreventmefrombeingplacesyallthinkIshouldbeat," she concluded.

On Oct. 25, Beyoncé, 43, attended Harris' rally in her hometown alongside her mother Tina Knowles, Rowland, 43, and country music legend Willie Nelson, with whom she collaborated for Cowboy Carter.
After Nelson, 91, performed onstage, the "Halo" singer introduced Harris, the Democratic nominee in the 2024 presidential election, with an energetic speech.
"We are so happy to be standing here on this stage as proud, country, Texas women, supporting and celebrating the one and only Vice President Kamala Harris," Beyoncé told the audience.
She called Harris, "the woman who's been pushing for what this country really needs right now — unity. It's impossible not to feel the energy in this room, the positivity, the community, the humanity. We are at the precipice of an incredible shift. The brink of history."
