Hugh Jackman is sharing one way he tried to thank the crew of his hit movie Deadpool & Wolverine.
On Wednesday, July 31, Jackman, 55, shared a video to Instagram showing himself mingling with crew members on the set of the recently released Marvel Cinematic Universe entry and scratching off a lottery ticket while in costume. In a caption to his post, Jackman explained that he began giving out scratch lottery tickets to the film's crew to thank below-the-line production employees for their work on the movie.
"Drinks on me," he joked at one point in the video while scratching off the lottery ticket. "Fiver - I'm taking it," he added at the video's end.
"I can’t remember the exact reason why I started giving out Scratchy’s on Fridays. Maybe it’s because I wanted the cool kids to like me," Jackman wrote. "Or maybe it’s because I wanted to make sure I said hello to each and every one of the people that work tirelessly to make the films. All of the humans whose names you see during the credit roll … they are the unsung heroes of filmmaking."
"And to this day, Scratchy Fridays continue. I love it," he added in his caption. "I love all of these people. I love the whole of us."
Jackman has been sharing an increased amount of footage and behind-the-scenes looks at the new movie on social media since Deadpool & Wolverine released to a record-breaking box office opening weekend, as well as re-creating memes featuring his Wolverine character to celebrate the movie's success.

"And so begins the purge of BTS photos & videos. There’s no grand plan for any of it, just glimpses of one of the greatest times of my life. Much more to come," Jackman wrote in a caption to one post he shared on Monday, July 29, featuring photos of himself with costar Ryan Reynolds and their director Shawn Levy. "@vancityreynolds @slevydirect are two of the finest humans I know," Jackman wrote of his collaborators in that caption. "Our friendship is unbreakable and everlasting."
