The actor, 68, and his family — including son Colin, 47 — kicked off the start of baseball season with a Dodgers win on Opening Day at Dodger Stadium on March 27, as seen in videos from ESPN and MLB.

Hanks, a longtime, diehard fan of Major League Baseball, was keeping score during the game and shared his final product on Instagram after the win.

"Opening Day Scorecard. MLB should declare: OFFICIAL & APPROVED! -T.Hanks," he wrote in his caption after sharing a photo of the scorecard on Instagram.

The MLB agreed, posting Hanks' scorecard and writing, "Tom Hanks, consider this official and approved," the league said in a post on X on March 28.

The Dodgers won the game 5-4 on Opening Day. NBA legend Magic Johnson, a partial owner of the team, was also in attendance. Next, the Los Angeles Dodgers will host the Atlanta Braves on Monday, March 31 at 10:10 p.m. ET.

The next day, Hanks showed a photo of the typewriter he used to keep the score "clean" in a second post. "How to score clean! Machine by Hermes," Hanks wrote alongside the photo, which showed the typewriter overlooking the field at Dodger Stadium.

He added: "Scorecard by @thirty81press. Help from Declan, Dominic and William. Note to self - don’t leave so soon! -T.Hanks"

Hanks' typewriter photo even earned a like from Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, whose girlfriend Taylor Swift featured typewriters as a lyrical and visual element of her Tortured Poets Department album.
