The proof of white privilege is all the white people on this thread whining and complaining because they went to work. With the implication of course being minorities, and especially blacks, don't work. Which is a racist fallacy. In fact some of those glaring hypocrites on other threads try to brag about Trump lowering the black unemployment rate. I always get a laugh out of that. Which is proof of the advantages their white skin gives them because something like this would never happen to them.

Bank calls cops on black man because they thought his paycheck was too high

A black Ohio man said bank tellers refused to cash a paycheck from his new job, and then called 911 on him, because they were suspicious that he earned so much.

Paul McCowns tried to cash his first paycheck from a job with an electric company Dec. 1 at Huntington Bank in the Cleveland suburb of Brooklyn, reported WOIO-TV.

The paycheck was for a little more than $1,000, and McCowns and tellers confirmed he showed two forms of identification and a fingerprint, as required for non-Huntington customers.

But McCowns said bank employees started looking at a computer screen and questioning the transaction, and ultimately they refused to cash the check without speaking to his employer.

“They tried to call my employer numerous times,” McCowns said. “He never picked up the phone.”

McCowns left the bank, but *employees called 911 on him and a police squad car pulled in front of his truck before he could drive away.

“He’s trying to cash a check and the check is fraudulent. It does not match our records,” a teller told the dispatcher, according to call records.

The teller admits McCowns did not know police had been called, and officers handcuffed him and placed him in the back of a police cruiser.

However, minutes later police contacted the black man’s employer and confirmed McCowns had worked there for three weeks — and made as much as his paycheck showed.

“My employer said, ‘Yes, he works for me, he just started and, yes, my payroll company does pay him that much,’” McCowns said.

Police confirmed his claims to the TV station, and McCowns said he cashed the check without trouble the following day at another Huntington location.

A bank representative told WOIO that branch had seen 11 cases of fraud in recent months, and tellers were hyper-vigilant as a result.

“We sincerely apologize to Mr. McCowns for this extremely unfortunate event,” the bank said in a statement. “We accept responsibility for contacting the police as well as our own interactions with Mr. McCowns. Anyone who walks into a Huntington branch should feel welcomed. Regrettably, that did not occur in this instance and we are very sorry.”

McCowns said he wanted an apology from the bank for what he sees as a case of racial profiling, and he wanted the tellers to face consequences, but a bank representative said he had not returned numerous calls.

Trump and most of his supporters are the very epitome of White Privilege and even implement policies based on it. And then of course think because they are white they know more about black people than black people do.

Former Trump advisor Stephen Moore tried to explain to CNN’s Van Jones what black parents want for their children — without acknowledging that Jones himself is a black parent.

The discussion centered on the Trump administration’s new policy created in the aftermath of the Parkland school shooting meant to make schools “safer” — but that many critics say will unduly punish minorities.

“It’s ironic to me that this whole commission was set up to deal with mass shootings,” Jones said. “There has not been a single African-American or Latino kid doing a mass shooting and yet somehow they get their protections stripped away but we’re not talking about guns.”

“I’ve been to a lot of these public inner-city high schools in places like Detroit or my hometown of Chicago or Washington, D.C., and you go into these schools and you see the utter chaos that goes on,” the former Trump adviser said. “You go down the street to the Catholic high school that’s really a block away, and you can hear a pin drop in those schools and there’s learning going on.”

“The issue for minorities, Van, as you know, is that these kids are not learning,” he said.

Host Erin Burnett asked Moore to respond to Jones’ point and he continued along the same line of reasoning — at which point the former Obama aide cut in.

“You’ve had your turn,” Jones said. “I get a chance to respond.”

Moore didn’t stop speaking, however, and brought up the common straw man fallacy of “black-on-black crime” by discussing black students fighting with other black students.

“If you want to take your time to attack black people, go ahead,” Jones said. “But I want to talk about the actual issue.”

The CNN analyst tried to again bring up his point that the Trump administration used the Parkland massacre to rollback an Obama-era policy meant to curb over-punishment of minority students — but Moore wouldn’t listen.

“I talk to black parents all the time,” Moore said.

“I am a black parent,” Jones responded, later noting that “it’s not a choice between you either have no discipline and these schools are terrible or you let African-American kids be disproportionately punished.”

But according to Moore, the policy change is a good thing.

“I wonder if there’s any American who really believes that the problem with our government schools today is that there’s too little discipline,” the economist said.

Moore then added that he’s “disappointed” in Jones for disagreeing with a policy that the New York Times said will mandate more punishments for minorities.

Judge calls out racial bias after black man faces 15 years behind bars — but white man faces just 1 year for same crime

In 2017, Mario Silas, who is black, and Jared Weatherly, who is white, tried to sell an undercover cop 100 ecstasy pills for $800, the Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.

Silas and a woman stayed in the car, while Weatherly delivered the drugs to the cop. Yet after they were caught and tried, the two men faced very different outcomes.

Silas got 15 years, while Weatherly is serving one year in prison.

That case and others have led U.S. District Judge John T. Fowlkes Jr., a federal judge in Memphis, to question racial bias in the prosecutor’s office. Thanks to mandatory minimums, Fowlkes was forced to impose the draconian sentence because of the disparate charges prosecutors sought against the two men.

Because Silas had a gun on him, persecutors stacked a gun charge on top of the drug deal. That, combined with prior convictions, allowed prosecutors to seek long prison terms. Yet, the judge pointed out that they also could have gone after Weatherly with a gun charge, since he committed a crime that involved a gun.

“This is another situation where a white defendant appears to have been treated differently than African-Americans, and I’m concerned about how we’re proceeding in this case,” the judge said according to a transcript in a Nov. 19 hearing.

It’s not the first time Fowlkes, who is one of the 10 percent of black federal judges, has questioned the prosecutor’s offices practices as racially biased.

The prosecutor’s office denied racial bias. “I apologize to the court if you’ve ever thought that I or anyone in our office is taking race into account in what we charge because that’s just not the truth,” he said, according to the transcript.

According to the United States Sentencing Commission (USSC), black men receive, on average, 20 percent longer sentences than white men for the same crime at the federal level.

So anyway... White Privilege does NOT mean that you feel more privileged or at an advantage over anyone else (any other race). In fact if anything, it is a state of being oblivious to the differences. Now that may sound like a positive as though the individual sees all races the same, yet it is not (and more on why in a moment). It is actually more akin to "let them eat cake," or an extreme ignorance of the situation of others, in this case hardships of race.

In case you don't understand that phrase, "let them eat cake (brioche, a very high quality/luxury bread)" comes from a tale of a great princess who was informed that the peasants were starving to death (while the wealthy lived in extremely excessive opulence), that they had no bread. Her response was "then let them eat cake." Some taking that as though she didn't care, yet more than likely that she was simply so ignorant to the fact that someone might not have food, so in her mind, and due to her "privilege" the answer was simple. If you don't have bread (that moment) then eat the cake instead unable to fathom that someone might have neither....In China there is a similar and older tale attributed to Emperor Hui. "An ancient Chinese emperor who, being told that his subjects didn't have enough rice to eat, replied, 'Why don't they eat meat?'" IOW, so oblivious to other people that he couldn't understand how when you didn't even have the most basic food staple, how that meant you had nothing.

In any case, white privilege speaks of how white people often cannot empathize with the hardships of other races, in this case in America. Not so much that they don't care, yet that they don't/can't understand not having lived being non-white. Now some will try and tell you that "poverty level whites have it just as hard, and feel the same." That is absolutely untrue. Whites living in poverty feel like they got a raw deal, ripped off, screwed, didn't get the breaks others did and so on... Yet they only feel that way in that they feel privileged, as though more is what they deserve just like everyone else. So they feel basically equal to other whites/people, but were simply fucked over for X reason(s). IOW, have the same opportunity as all others, but were cheated of it...BUT...it can be fixed or changed.

Other non-white races ARE treated different. Sometimes even better, yet when treated better it as though it is some magnanimous gift by whites toward someone who is less than them. As though to make them feel better, patronizing. Most times however they are treated in all ways as though less and different. Certainly not as deserving, and as though every positive in their life is a gracious gift, an exception getting more than they "actually" deserve. Other races are hit with that attitude be it through prejudice to even overcompensation to a point that they are made to feel different by white culture. They're made to feel it every day of their lives, and in every avenue of it......ALTHOUGH, it is not always intentional.

Here is a GREAT ad from "Viceland" channel that shows how it shifts mindsets and how it forces those non-white to think differently. At times justified, at other times not, yet they still feel it.

I myself have actually experienced this all of my life being 50%+ Native American. I had it drilled into me by my father that I was less. By the community we lived in (and to top it off he was white trash so that made it even worse). Years later once back in the states I was assumed to be Mexican so I received that prejudice and attitudes from whites, also because of how dark I used to tan, black, east-Indian, middle-eastern, polynesian, and so on. Due to my narrow facial features and almond shaped eyes however I've been asked if I was half-breed Asian/black, Asian/white, Persian, Arabic, etc.. Though never white. Conversely, when I lived out of the country I was treated as less by all others for two joined reasons. 1. I was an American. 2. I was not a white American... So even by other races and cultures I was treated as different and less because though I was an American, I was not a White American, so that made me some "less than everyone" race.

Finally, and this is a real kicker... Being a true half-breed, I'm even viewed as less by other Native Americans, though most of them are of mixed blood now themselves, just not first generation mixed blood.

The point of that being, I have always recognized that I was different (though not less), in fact a race of one. Where white privilege comes in is that others view me as different... Yet different does not mean equal. So, when I fuck up it was as though expected. When I succeed, it is as though I overcame my racial limitations. That may sound like easy street, yet in the end it states that though they may not consciously feel it, sub-consciously I am viewed as "less than", and though often not intentional, I'm often treated as such.

Where white privilege really comes in though is that state of ignorance. It's difficult to even impossible for those that have not lived like that everyday to understand why I might view things this way or that. Why I might take a helping hand as an insult, or take an insult as just par for the course. The worst of it is though, in that state of ignorance they cannot understand why others treat me somewhat differently. A friend of mine once stated that a server at a café/bar was likely just being more attentive to me because of the way I carry myself, and how I look (using the word attractive), and it worked out perfectly when I had her listen as the server spoke to another, telling the other "how great it was that I carried myself like anyone else, and then followed up with how she didn't want to offend me, or get me upset."

For what? I'm just sitting there having a drink! So how is it now that she has to be concerned about me over anyone else?

So white privilege speaks to the ignorance of white people to the daily experiences of those of another race, in a white dominated society, and how it affects them. We always hear about the prejudice, bigotry and violence. What we never hear about is the underlying feeling of most whites that they got the sweet end of the lollypop simply because of their race, and how that translates into a passive bios, and ignorance of why another feels singled out.

Because Negroes have more of a genetic inclination toward crime, a criminal justice system that is effective for whites is insufficiently harsh for Negroes. Before the civil rights movement that was generally understood, especially in the South.

A supporter of President Donald Trump was recently filmed in an unhinged rant about black people while she was on vacation.

The video, which was posted by anti-racism activist Tariq Nasheed, shows an apparently intoxicated woman vacationing in the Virgin Islands and yelling about how much she hates black people.

“Don’t like n*ggers!” she shouts at the start of the video. “President Trump, woooo! Obama? F*ck you, motherf*cking n*gger!”

Later in the video, the Trump supporter yells at the person holding the camera for filming her — and then continues on her racist tirade anyway.

“I hate them, I hate n*ggers,” she said. “I hate them with a passion.”

At this point, a person near her tells her to be quiet — and she says, “Sure.”

Cops take $149,000 from black DJ and throw him in jail for not using turn signal ‘a full 100 feet’ before changing lanes

An Oklahoma deputy seized nearly $150,000 from a professional hip-hop musician over a lane change violation.

Harvey Miller, a musician known as DJ Speedy who has worked with Beyoncé and Jay-Z, was driving from Atlanta to Los Angeles when an Oklahoma County sheriff’s deputy stopped him on Interstate 40 for failing to signal a turn a full 100 feet before changing lanes, reported KOCO-TV.

“I was racially profiled, plain as day — no way around it,” said the 42-year-old DJ and producer. “He went in with the questions of, ‘Where are you going? What’s in your car?'”

The deputy was suspicious of Miller’s story, according to an arrest affidavit.

*“Then, he asked me can he search my vehicle,” Miller told the TV station. “No, you can’t search my vehicle. What warrants you to search my vehicle?”

The deputy called for a K-9 unit, and the dog alerted authorities to possible illegal drugs in the car, but investigators found none.

However, deputies found more than $149,000 in cash, which they seized after claiming Miller’s vehicle smelled like cannabis.

“I’ve never used drugs, I’m not drinking, I wasn’t speeding — I wasn’t doing nothing,” Miller said. “You have nothing on my except I have money. I’m black and I have money.”

Miller was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug proceeds and possession of a forged counterfeit note after a fake $20 bill was found, and he was released after 12 hours in jail.

The Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office denied the racial profiling allegations, saying the vast majority of drivers they pull over are white.

“The numbers we see are in line with the makeup of the population of Oklahoma County,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

Miller, who has homes in both Atlanta and Los Angeles, has not been formally charged in the case, but he wants his money back and his clear record restored.

Man, do cops hate it when you say that because they know you know your constitutional rights. And they will usually let you go just because of that.

High school referee who made wrestler cut dreadlocks suspended

BUENA, N.J. — New Jersey’s athletic association said that a referee who told a high school wrestler to cut his dreadlocks or forfeit, which drew ire from an Olympian, the state’s governor and many others, won’t be assigned to any matches until the incident is reviewed.

Michael Cherenson, spokesman for the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association, said the organization had reached out to groups that assign referees “and they’ve all agreed” not to assign Alan Maloney to any event until further notice.

Buena Regional High School wrestler Andrew Johnson, who is black, had a cover over his hair Wednesday night during a match.

But Maloney, who is white, said that wouldn’t do. An SNJ Today reporter tweeted a video of Johnson getting his hair cut minutes before the match. Johnson went on to win but appeared visibly distraught.

The video was shared widely on social media, with users calling the incident “racist,” ”cruel” and “humiliating.”

Jordan Burroughs, a 2012 Olympic gold medalist and four-time world champion, posted and spoke on social media early Saturday about the incident, saying he had never seen anything like it in a quarter-century of wrestling.

“This is nonsense,” a message on Burroughs’ Twitter account said. “My opinion is that this was a combination of an abuse of power, racism, and just plain negligence.”

In a video posted on Instagram, he criticized parents and coaching staff at the match for not intervening, calling it “absolutely shameful.”

Burroughs called Johnson “courageous” for his performance in the match despite “all of the adversity and racism that you were facing in the moment.”

The fellow southern New Jersey wrestler said Maloney had been the referee for some of his high school matches growing up.

Gov. Phil Murphy weighed in on the issue on Twitter, saying he was “deeply disturbed” by the story.

“No student should have to needlessly choose between his or her identity and playing sports,” he said.

The state attorney general’s office has confirmed an investigation by the Division on Civil Rights. The school superintendent said in a letter to the community that they support and stand by all student athletes.

Maloney came under fire in 2016 for using a racial slur against a black referee, according to the Courier Post newspaper.

Maloney told the newspaper he did not remember making the comments.

After the incident was reported, he agreed to participate in sensitivity training and an alcohol awareness program. A one-year suspension was overturned.

7-year-old girl killed after white man pulls alongside black family’s car and opens fire

Police in Texas are seeking a white man who pulled alongside a black family’s car and opened fire, fatally shooting a 7-year-old girl.

The family of five was leaving a Walmart parking lot Sunday morning in the Houston area when a man driving a red pickup truck pulled up to the side of their car and started shooting, reported KHOU-TV.

Jazmine Barnes was killed instantly, and her mother LaPorsha Washington was shot in the arm. Another girl was injured by shattered glass, and two sisters were unharmed.

The 30-year-old Washington was expected to recover from her wound.

Authorities described the suspect as a bearded white man in his 40s, and he remains at large.

“I urge you, whoever did this, you know who are, please turn yourself in,” said Major Jesse Razo, of the Harris County sheriff’s office. “Because we will be looking for you, we will locate you and we will find you.”

Investigators are not sure whether the shooting was random or if the family was targeted.

Eventually you are going to have to take responsibility for your failed lives and communities. Before long, Mexicans will be the majority in California, Arizona etc. Who are you going to blame for holding you back then?

Black teacher in NY school told she’s not allowed to eat ‘whites only’ food in faculty lounge: lawsuit

A new lawsuit filed by a black English teacher at a New York high school claims that she has for years been subjected to shocking racial harassment from both students and from fellow faculty members.

NBC News reports that Andrea Bryan recently filed a lawsuit against the Commack School District on Long Island, where she has spent the past 17 years working as the district’s only black teacher.

Among other things, the suit alleges that Bryan was told by a colleague that a bag of peanuts sitting on the table in the faculty lounge was for “whites only,” and was also asked by the same colleague to “translate slave talk” while reading the part of a black character in Arthur Miller’s “The Crucible.”

Even though her complaint about this colleague did get him demoted, she says that she subsequently “was ostracized and made a pariah within the department” for her actions.

And just last year, Bryan alleges that one of her colleagues bought her a bottle of hand sanitizer as her “Secret Santa” gift “because she is black and, therefore, dirty in the view of her colleagues.”

The lawsuit says that the school district has generally reacted with indifference to this racial harassment, and has overall failed to act to stop the problem.

$35,000 reward offered for 7-year-old girl's killer

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) --
Deputies are starting the new year searching for a little girl's killer, but now two other people are offering up money for tips.

Journalist Shaun King and civil rights attorney Lee Merritt have come together to offer a $35,000 reward to find the person who shot and killed Jazmine Barnes on Sunday.

Jazmine was with her mother and siblings inside the family's vehicle when she was shot.

Her mother, 30-year-old LaPorsha Washington, said she was taking her daughters to the store to get coffee when someone started shooting out of nowhere.

Jazmine died at the scene. Her mother was hospitalized with injuries.

Investigators released a photo of the suspect's truck, described as a 4-door red pickup truck. The make and model is not known.

WATCH: White man viciously attacks black McDonald’s worker while her manager passively looks on

The Atlanta Black Star has posted a video showing a white customer at a McDonald’s in St. Petersburg, Florida viciously grabbing a worker over what appears to have been a botched order.

At the very start of the video, the white man can be seen reaching across the counter and grabbing the black woman who had taken his order. After he drags her halfway over the counter, she pulls back and starts hitting him in an attempt to break free.

At this point, other workers intervene and successfully separate the two — but they let the white customer stay in the store even though he aggressively attacked one of their colleagues.

The manager then walks over and, rather than telling the customer to leave, checks his order to see what might have gone wrong.

When the woman walks back over in the direction of the counter, the white customer points to her and tells the manager, “I want her ass fired, right now!”

“No, you’re going to jail!” the woman shouts back at him.

“I was just asking you a f*cking question!” he complained.

Clearwater Man Facing Battery Charges After Attacking McDonald's Worker Over Straw

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A 40-year-old man was arrested and charged with battery after an incident at a McDonald's in St. Petersburg.

Daniel Willis Taylor, 40 is facing two battery charges

Witnesses said Taylor used obscene language before demanding a straw

Affidavit: Taylor also kicked another employee before being forced out

St. Petersburg police said Daniel Willis Taylor reached over the counter and grabbed employee Yasmine James by the shirt.

The incident, which happened on December 31, 2018 at the restaurant located at 4595 34th Street South, was witnessed by several people and captured on cell phone video.

Witnesses said Taylor went to the counter and used obscene language demanding a straw. After James put the straw on his tray, witnesses say he demanded another one. That’s when video a customer shot shows Taylor grabbing the worker over the counter.

James responded by punching him several times until he let go. Police say after that, Taylor went behind the counter and the store manager walked him out of the store.

A witness, Brenda Biandudi, spoke with the woman.

"She mentioned to me that she used to box," Biandudi said.

Police said Taylor, of Clearwater, also battered another employee as he was being escorted out of the restaurant.

According to the affidavit, Taylor kicked Tateona Bell in the stomach while she was standing near the exit door.

After police arrived at the McDonald's, they received a call for an unarmed robbery at 1800 34th Street S., where they found Taylor and recognized him from the video at McDonald's.

Taylor was taken into custody and charged with two counts of simple battery and is being held on a $1000 bond.
