Lea Thompson

Lea Thompson is an American actress and director. Her breakthrough role was in Back to the Future (1985) as Lorraine Baines McFly. She also starred in the franchise's two sequels. Following the Back to the Future trilogy, she starred in a number of other movies and TV shows, including Dennis the Menace (1993), The Beverly Hillbillies (1993) and Caroline in the City (1995-1999). Thompson also directed a selection of TV episodes for shows including Switched at Birth, The Goldbergs and Young Sheldon. In 1989, Thompson married director Howard Deutch. The couple has two daughters, Zoey Deutch (born in 1994) and Madelyn Deutch (born in 1991). Both of Thompson's daughters are also actresses.
