The newly-pregnant actress revealed to Health in 2017 that her worst red carpet look was the all-leather outfit she wore to the Tomb Raider premiere in 2001. "It was very appropriate for Tomb Raider, but it was almost like I was going to a theme party," she said. "The rest I just look back and go, 'Ugh, that was the style.' It's like a time capsule, and there is a decade of me just showing my stomach. Like, 'OK, Eva, can you stop wearing a crop top? Must you wear a crop top on every red carpet you go to?'"

You'll never find the elusive chanteuse in anything but glamorous gowns these days and that's because she learned her lesson about working with less-than-stellar styling teams. She told PrideSource that she wasn't happy with the outfits she wore in the '90s. "They did [dress me in a lot of black],” she says of her team at the time. “It was just like, ahhh, such a long story. You don’t even wanna know."

Gwyneth admitted in a Goop newsletter that she regrets how she styled her Alexander McQueen sheer gown at the 2002 Oscars. "There were a few issues; I still love the dress itself but I should have worn a bra and I should have just had simple beachy hair and less makeup," she revealed. "Then, it would have worked as I wanted it to – a little bit of punk at the Oscars.”

In 2013 the pop star told Hollywood Life that her first few red carpet looks were ones she'll never repeat again. "I remember going on my first red carpet with skinny jeans and sneakers like, awesome - this is not a look that I would do ever again … I feel like when I wore sneakers and a lot of jeans to red carpets my stylist was really mortified," she told the website. "Never again!"

David and Victoria Beckham are one of the best dressed couples on the planet, but even they miss the mark sometimes. "Me and Victoria wore matching black leather outfits once. They were Versace," he told H&M Life. "That’s one where I look back, like, 'What were we thinking?' We laugh about that one."

Kate regretted wearing her gray Stella McCartney gown to the 2001 Oscars (she was a nominee) once she saw the best and worst dressed lists the next day. "I was 21-years-old and to have Stella McCartney dressing me - well I felt like the hippest, coolest girl in the world," she said while presenting the designer with a British Fashion Award in 2011. "I woke up the next morning in my bed post-awards and without a little statuette on my bedside. I turned on the television to find out I was on every Worst Dressed list possible. So I called Stella and we just laughed our arses off and she said to me, 'Look babe, it was the hair, wasn't it?'" In the end, Kate says it's still hanging in her closet and she'll wear it down a red carpet again, but this time with a different hairstyle.

NICK JONAS

Like all teens figuring out their style, Nick went through some "dark times" during his Jonas Brother days. "I think we all had an Ed Hardy phase, where you had the hat, and the T-shirt, and the shoes — and the jeans, if you were lucky," he told Racked. "Head to toe. Dark times. But we gotta go through the fire to come out knowing what to wear without looking insane."

EVA MENDES

If Eva could style the Reem Acra gown that she wore to the Ghost Rider premiere in 2007 all over again she would. "It was cold and snowing - I don't know why I'm sharing that, I think I'm trying to justify - and I had my dress on but I had to finish my hair and make-up in the back of an SUV," she explained to NBC. "It was a beautiful dress, but the way I put everything together, it was a Princess Jasmine gone wrong. The strapless, purple dress with necklaces and hair in a really high braid. It's not a good look."

In an interview with Good Housekeeping the Fuller House star says she regrets all of the outfits she wore during the show's original run. "Looking back on my Full House wardrobe days, I think I almost regret all of my fashion moments," she said. "Oh man, I mean the high waisted jeans, the cowboy boots, and the tent dresses I used to wear? I don’t know what I was thinking. My kids make fun of me and go, 'Mom, that’s a look.'"

ASHLEY TISDALE

"The Incredibles" Los Angeles Premiere - Arrivals

The former Suite Life of Zack and Cody star learned the hard way that she shouldn't use her Disney show's wardrobe department as her own personal stylist. "They will just style you how you’re styled on your TV show so I looked like my character [Maddie Fitzpatrick] at all times when I was going out," she told PeopleStyle. Which explains why she regrets her look at the 2004 premiere of The Incredibles. "I wore this really weird pink camo skirt and this pink furry thing, I don’t even know what it was, but I said, 'Ooh, put me in it!' And instead of wearing it like you would normally wear it, I was like, 'I am going to do it have one of my arms out and have it going across my body.' It was the weirdest thing," Tisdale said. "At that point, you just have to laugh at yourself!"

Olivia has come a long way since 2011. "When I first started, I remember wearing this … I think it was supposed to be a dress, but I wore it as a shirt—long light blue, it looked like a baby gown almost and I wore it with these brown leggings and knee-high lace up boots,” Holt told PEOPLE about her red carpet look at a launch event for MetroPCS Huawei M835. "It was kind of scary, and I’m so sad that I did that to myself."

LEA MICHELE

It took Lea some time before she got the hang of the red carpet scene. "At the beginning — at a lot of the Glee press stuff — I was sort of dressing myself and I wasn’t used to taking pictures,” Lea told PEOPLE in 2012. "So, the awkwardness didn’t help the not-so-great outfits."
