Hollywood just rolled out the red carpet, again, for this year's SAG Awards, on Sun., Feb. 23.

Streaming live (on Netflix!) from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, the SAG Awards honored the best performances in film and television last year. The night's big winners included Timothée Chalamet, Zoe Saldaña and Demi Moore, all honored for their work across big and small screens.

Also during the evening, hosted by Kristen Bell, Jane Fonda received the SAG Life Achievement honor. And this year's SAG Awards ambassadors were Netflix stars Sofia Carson and Noah Centineo.

The SAG Awards Was All About the Reunions: Zooey and Max! David and Gillian!

Multiple cast reunions occurred throughout Sunday night's SAG Awards ceremony.

In addition to Kristen Bell's many run-ins with former castmates, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, who starred in The X-Files, presented together. Additionally, New Girl's Max Greenfield and Zooey Deschanel teamed up to give out an award.

Kristen Bell Closes the SAG Awards with a Throwback to Her Hilarious Sloth Encounter

Throughout Kristen Bell's SAGs hosting gig, she encountered numerous costars from her past: The Good Place's Ted Danson and William Jackson Harper; Forgetting Sarah Marshall's Jason Segel; Nobody Wants This' Adam Brody.

But when it came time to truly pick a favorite screen partner, Bell's answer was someone not in attendance, Sunday: a sloth she met over a decade prior.

Bell is a huge fan of sloths, and in 2011, her husband Dax Shepherd arranged for her to meet one during her birthday party. The moment was memorialized on film, and Bell shared it with the public on Ellen in 2012.

Conclave Wins Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture

The outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture SAG Award was given to the ensemble of Conclave on Sunday night.

Star Ralph Fiennes accepted the honor on behalf of the cast of the Pope thriller. "I've been designated to speak on behalf of our conclave, of our ensemble," said Fiennes, before mentioning their missing costars, including Stanley Tucci.

The actor concluded his speech by noting that the ceremony was about celebrating "community."

Demi Moore Tears Up as She Wins SAG for The Substance

Demi Moore was "beyond" words as she accepted the Screen Actors Guild Award for leading actress on Feb. 23.

The Substance star held back tears during her acceptance speech, reflecting on her early acting days and first getting her SAG-AFTRA membership.

"You have all been my greatest teachers and I am so so grateful that I have continued over these so many years," said Moore. She added, "To be able to keep going. And I could not do that without the support of my incredible team."

At the conclusion of her speech, Moore also shared a mantra she's adopted: "There's this idea that, what we believe is so much more powerful than what we think ... the saying, 'I'll believe it when I see it.' But the reality is, 'When I believe it I will see it.' "

Timothée Chalamet Says 'I Poured Everything I Had into Playing This Incomparable Artist' as He Wins Leading Actor

Timothée Chalamet pulled off a surprise win at the SAG Awards, Sunday, after Adrien Brody has mostly dominated the leading actor category for much of this awards season.

The star was honored with the lead actor SAG Award for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in biopic A Complete Unknown.

"I poured everything I had into playing this incomparable artist," said Chalamet, adding of his castmates, "Everyone gave it their all, and so i'm deeply grateful to them."

Then, Chalamet spoke of his personal goals: "I know we're in a subjective business, but the truth is, I'm really in pursuit of greatness ... I'm inspired by the greats here tonight. ... I want to be up there."

James Earl Jones, Shelley Duvall Honored During In Memoriam Segment

Lisa Kudrow introduced the 2025 In Memoriam segment at the SAG Awards. A video montage highlighted the irreplaceable stars that died over the past year.

"We can all remember the first time an actor's performance had an impact on us. Laughing to the point of tears, or being moved to the point of tears by a deep truth being brought to light on screen," said Kudrow. "Great performances create meaning and inspire connection. And while the passing of an actor can feel like a great loss, we can also feel gratitude for the enduring works they've left behind for us."

Among those featured were James Earl Jones, Shelley Duvall, Bob Newhart, Johnny Wactor, Teri Garr, Gavin Creel and Richard Lewis.

Kristen Bell and Leighton Meester Have a Gossip Girl Moment at the SAGs

Kristen Bell continued to revisit her former costars during the 2025 SAG Awards — and try on an old Gossip Girl monologue for size.

The host, who provided the voice of Gossip Girl during the aughts series, returned to the series' narration style to highlight what the SAG guests were dining on during Sunday's ceremony.

Eventually, the camera revealed Bell crouched beside Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester, joking that a hangry Meester wrote the dialogue.

Only Murders in the Building Wins Comedy Ensemble SAG — Without Martin Short and Steve Martin!

A shocked Selena Gomez accepted the comedy ensemble award for Only Murders in the Building during the 2025 SAG Awards, taking the stage with some of her season 4 costars.

"We never win, this is so weird," Gomez, visibly surprised, remarked, before noting the absence of her sidekicks, Martin Short and Steve Martin.

Joked Gomez, "Marty and Steve aren't here because they don't really care." Richard Kind chimed in to remind the actress to thank the missing duo, prompting her to add, "Oh and thank you to Marty and Steve for helping raise me."

The Cast of Shōgun Honored with Drama Ensemble SAG Award

Shōgun won its first-ever ensemble SAG Award during the 2025 ceremony, following the individual victories for stars Anna Sawai and Hiroyuki Sanada.

As the cast gathered onstage to accept the award, Sanada thanked the room for "recognizing" the show. He added, "This is so special, because this is from you guys."

Zoe Saldaña Wins SAG for Female Actor in a Supporting Role

Emilia Pérez star Zoe Saldaña gave an emotional acceptance speech during the SAG Awards on Sunday, Feb. 23, as she was honored with the statue for outstanding performance by a female actor in a supporting role.

"Oh wow, to be in this room is a true honor," said Saldaña. "This is my community, this is my circus."

Saldaña also said that she is "proud to be a part of union that allows me to be who I am and I've never been questioned about where I come from and judged by how I speak or what my pronouns are. I believe that everybody has the right to to be who they are and Emilia Pérez is about truth and it's about love."

Keke Palmer Prompts SAG Audience to Take a Drink If They've Appeared on Law & Order — and Everyone Drinks!

After a video montage narrated by Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star Mariska Hargitay, Keke Palmer had a challenge for the SAG audience. Alongside co-presenter Colman Domingo, Palmer asked attendees to take a drink if they'd appeared as a guest star in any of the Law & Order franchise series.

The camera cut to the audience, showing stars like Leighton Meester and Timothée Chalamet taking sips of their drinks. Domingo, onstage, pulled out some liquor and sipped for Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

Jane Fonda Promises 'I'm Not Done' in Life Achievement Honor Speech

After a heartfelt introduction from Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jane Fonda took the stage to accept the SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Honor on Feb. 23.

"This means the world to me, you can't know," Fonda, 88, said. "Thank you SAG-AFTRA. And your enthusiasm makes this seem less like a late twilight of my life and more like a, 'Go-girl kick ass' — which is good, because I'm not done."

During Fonda's speech, she admitted, "I have had a really weird career," and even "retired for 16 years." Despite that, "I made one of my most successful movies in my 80s and probably in my 90s, I'll be doing my own stunts in an action movie."

Fonda was interrupted by a sound flub mid-speech, which she took in stride, joking after, "I can conjure voices."

Jamie Lee Curtis, Neve Campbell and Jenna Ortega Honor 'Scream Queens'

The OG scream queen just dusted off her shriek for a special tribute to the women of horror during the SAG Awards.

In a prerecorded segment with fellow horror stars Neve Campbell and Jenna Ortega, the trio celebrated the genre, with Ortega admitting, "I've always considered horror to be a home."

"I've made my living screaming," added Curtis, as footage of female actors in horror movies was shown.

Then, Curtis took the stage in real-time. "As you know I have been screaming myself hoarse in horror films since the Carter administration ... horror is unironically unafraid of our pain," said Curtis.

Colin Farrell won the SAG Award on Sunday, Feb. 23, for outstanding performance by a male actor in a TV movie or limited series.

Farrell was honored for portraying Penguin in Max's The Penguin.

During his acceptance speech, Farrell also took a moment to get a bit "cheesy." "We're all supporting actors ... we all support each other, that's what we do," said Farrell. "We support the writers' vision, the directors' vision." Farrell then listed some of the actors in supporting roles in The Penguin, before giving heartfelt thanks to his two children.

Jessica Gunning, Baby Reindeer's Martha, Wins Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a TV Movie or Limited Series

Jessica Gunning can now add a Screen Actors Guild Award to her trophy case. The actress, who has nabbed a Golden Globe, an Emmy and a Critics Choice Award for her role as stalker Martha in Baby Reindeer, took home the SAG award for female actor in a TV movie or limited series, on Sunday.

"Honestly, genuinely, this means the world to me, so thank you so very, very much," said Gunning in her acceptance speech.

Martin Short Wins for Only Murders in the Building but Misses Ceremony After Getting COVID at SNL50

Martin Short won a SAG Award for his beloved role as Only Murders in the Building's Oliver Putnam on Sunday, his first victory in the male actor in a comedy series category after three nominations for the Hulu show.

Short, unfortunately, was not on hand to accept the honor. While his absence was not explained, it was revealed earlier in the week that he had contracted COVID after the SNL50 anniversary celebration.

Jean Smart Wins Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series

Jean Smart was the 2025 SAG Awards winner for outstanding performance by a female actor in a comedy series, though unfortunately was not on-hand in Los Angeles to accept the honor.

Instead, presenter Molly Shannon accepted on Smart's behalf because the Hacks star is "shooting on location."

Less than 30 minutes into the 2025 SAG Awards, and we've already gotten a The Good Place reunion.

Host Kristen Bell caught up with her former costars Ted Danson and William Jackson Harper in the audience, with Danson interrupting the actress to question who her favorite costar is.

Dragged, literally, into the middle of it, Bell said to both men, "This is not a challenge." It was too late, though, and Danson and Harper re-enacted Challengers with a faux steamy makeout session as Bell commanded the camera.

Anna Sawai and Hiroyuki Sanada Win for Their Performances in Shōgun

Shōgun's stars Anna Sawai and Hiroyuki Sanada were the night's big winners in their respective categories, outstanding female and male actors in a drama series, on Sunday night.

During her speech, an emotional Sawai told the audience in L.A., "Last year, when this show came out, the only thing I wanted was for people to watch it, so this has been beyond my imagination."

In his own speech, Sanada said, "I feel like I'm in a dream."

"Thank you SAG Awards, I'm Hiroyuki Sanada, actor. I'm so honored to be here with these amazing nominees," he said.

Kieran Culkin Wins, Again, for A Real Pain — and Performs Stand-Up During His Acceptance Speech

Kieran Culkin's awards season domination continued, with the A Real Pain star winning, again, for his performance in the dramedy at the SAG Awards on Sunday.

Culkin won male actor in a supporting role, and spent much of his acceptance speech — literally, he counted down the seconds, out loud — joking about the statue's weight and, generally, delivering a playful stand-up routine.

Kristen Bell Sings a Version of Frozen's 'Do You Want to Build a Snowman?'

Kristen Bell revisited her beloved Disney song, "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?," for an adorable opening monologue number featuring photos of the night's big stars.

The cast of Hacks couldn't keep it together to secure Jean Smart's Deborah Vance the SAGs hosting gig.

In a fun, prerecorded clip that kicked off the SAG Awards on Sunday, Smart and her costars Hannah Einbinder, Megan Stalter and Paul W. Downs debated how to get Smart's Vance back into the hosting spot.

When she found out that, instead, Kristen Bell got the gig, Smart lamented, "This is terrible — I had eight costume changes planned."

It ended with her opting to try the age-reversing "substance" (though she told her colleagues, "I'll just throw this away.).

Jane Fonda is following in the footsteps of some of her most iconic SAG-AFTRA colleagues.

Fonda will be honored with the SAG Life Achievement award on Sunday during the 2025 ceremony, and told PEOPLE and EW during the preshow that she is "beyond honored."

"I'm really excited and deeply honored and happy about tonight," said Fonda, 87. "I've spent a lot of time in the last weeks [thinking about] what acting means to me ... why SAG is different than all other unions ... we create empathy."

Last year's SAG Life honoree was Barbra Streisand, who was preceded by Sally Field in 2023.

Pam Anderson Is Makeup-Free, Again, at the SAGs

Pamela Anderson is a first-time Screen Actors Guild Award nominee on Sunday night, with the actress up for outstanding performance by a female actor in a leading role for her work in The Last Showgirl.

Anderson, 57, continued her commitment to ditching makeup and showed off her bare face while on the SAGs carpet in a white, one-shoulder gown. The star paired her look with old Hollywood curls and a side part.

Luke Newton Says Fans Will See a 'New Version' of Penelope and Colin in Bridgerton Season 4

Bridgerton fans: more Polin is on the way.

While chatting with PEOPLE and EW during the red carpet preshow on Feb. 23, Luke Newton teased what's to come for season 3's hero and heroine in season 4.

"I've really enjoyed coming back this season," Newton said. "You know, [Nicola Coughlin] and I, we get to sort of dip our toes in and out of the show and kind of like show this new version of their relationship. But I'm most excited about the new love story that we focus on. It's just been so beautiful seeing that sort of develop their relationship with nothing."

Much of the cast, nominated on Sunday, is in L.A. for the SAG Awards, Newton said.

"Obviously we're shooting season 4 at the moment, so there's a lot of people that I've seen on a daily basis, but everyone from last season we haven't seen this year was back, and it was weird seeing them on like a rooftop in the middle of L.A.," he said.

There are two superstar SAG Awards Ambassadors for the 2025 show — Noah Centineo and Sofia Carson — but what does that mean?

Both “exemplify the utmost values of the acting profession, serve as positive role models for the next generation of performers, and actively use their platform to advocate for humanitarian and public service endeavors,” according to a press release.

Yes, but what else will they do in their roles?

According to the press release, Carson (pictured above on Sunday) and Centineo will give fans “exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the ceremony and participate in various SAG Awards pre-show events,” including “supporting the SAG-AFTRA Foundation's efforts to provide disaster relief to members” who were affected by the recent wildfires in L.A.

Kristen Bell Is Hosting — and Seemingly Planning to Sing!

Nobody Wants This star Kristen Bell is taking the helm of this year's SAG Awards, and the 44-year-old teased to PEOPLE in the run-up to the ceremony that there might be a musical number planned.

Wicked is leading the pack as the movie with the most nominations this year and "it’s been a struggle not to make the whole thing about" the musical film, Bell told PEOPLE.

Asked whether a musical number will be part of the festivities Sunday, Bell said, simply, “We shall see.” When asked if a fan would make money betting on a Wicked-inspired musical number, Bell teased even further, “You might, I don’t know. I’d put money on it if I were you.”
