Making her Remembrance Day debut, Kate opted for a black hat with a bow to one side for the solemn ceremony, during which the royal family honors those who lost their lives in war.

She would go on to recycle the fashionable headpiece in 2014. She also had on the same jacket she wore in 2012 and 2016.

This time around though, Kate decided to wear her hair down and opt for a larger black hat, which she wore again in 2017.

On Nov. 12, 2023, the Princess of Wales wore a black Catherine Walker coatdress, notable for its military-inspired style and intricate detailing, according to WWD. She accesorized the look with a familiar Philip Treacy hat, which she has worn on different occasions since 2006, five years before she married into the royal family.

In a sentimental nod to the late Queen Elizabeth, Kate chose to wear Her late Majesty's standout diamond and pearl leaf earrings. She also wore a military brooch that paid homage to her role as Commander-in-Chief of the Fleet Air Arm.

After a difficult year facing a cancer diagnosis, the Princess of Wales made a triumphant appearance on the Foreign Office balcony on Nov. 10, 2024, following her announcement on Sept. 9 that she had completed chemotherapy. Kate's appearance at both Remembrance Sunday at The Cenotaph and the Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall the night prior on Nov. 9 marked her first back-to-back appearances at major public royal events throughout all of 2024 as she prioritized her health.

For the appearance on Nov. 10, Kate paid tribute to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana by wearing a black Catherine Walker coatdress (Walker was the late Princess of Wales' go-to designer and friend). She also paid homage to the late Queen Elizabeth by wearing her Bahrain Pearl Drop earrings.
