The Pioneer Woman star shared photos of Paige’s celebratory weekend in Charleston in a March 31 blog post. While the Food Network star was on her Oklahoma ranch with husband Ladd, the gaggle of gal pals were busy in South Carolina, Ree explained in the post. Off the bat, the cookbook author notes some major differences between Paige’s weekend and her pre-wedding celebrations more than 28 years ago. “In case you are old and out of touch like I am, I guess the thing these days is for brides to wear white to everything, from showers to parties to bachelorette parties,” she joked in the blog, counting off the number of white dresses Paige wore over the weekend. The pair decked out the crew’s Airbnb with balloons, customized signs and banners honoring the 25-year-old’s upcoming nuptials. Plus, there were stickers, masks and other goodies with photos of her fiancé David Andersen’s face — “I don't know what to say about the David signs and stickers all over the place,” Ree quipped. The group of 12 was comprised of Paige’s friends and family, according to the post, and are “all wonderful girls." The dozen gallivanted around the city, cruised on a cocktail boat ride, wore coordinating sparkly dresses for a night out and celebrated the bride-to-be, according to Ree's blog and Paige's Instagram posts. The love-filled weekend was quite different from the simple festivity Ree had before her 1996 wedding, she explained. “I was in a hotel in my hometown trying to shield my mother-in-law from seeing a box of anatomically-shaped pasta,” Ree joked, adding that the party went from 5 p.m. to 7:3.0. pm and also included her mother, three bridesmaids and a few other loved ones.
