Pregnant Sadie Robertson Hospitalized with Food Poisoning After Thinking She Was Going Into Pre-Term Labor: 'What a Whirlwind'

Sadie Robertson is recovering from a bout of food poisoning about halfway through her pregnancy.

The Duck Dynasty star, 27, shared that she was hospitalized on Friday, April 11, while visiting Destin, Fla. Robertson, who is in her second trimester, was experiencing contractions every few minutes, she wrote in an Instagram post on April 14, and was concerned she was going into pre-term labor.

Robertson's "whirlwind of a couple of days" began on Thursday, when she and some family arrived in Destin for a conference for which Robertson had a speaking engagement. She and her family relaxed that night, but the next day, she began feeling under the weather.

"Friday afternoon I got hit with what we think was food poisoning and it was rough ... I ended up in the hospital having consistent contractions every 3 minutes for a couple of hours," Robertson wrote in the post. "Thankfully I got the best care in a hospital and they were able to confirm I was not in pre-term labor, just the aftermath of food poisoning."

In the wake of the health scare, Robertson contacted the conference and switched her morning speaking engagement to an evening Q&A. She wasn't feeling great, but managed to attend the conference without further incident.

Unfortunately, by Sunday morning, Robertson had to seek medical help again, and learned she had both a sinus infection and bronchitis.

"This pregnancy has been wild, but I am just so thankful baby is kicking around in the womb unbothered by the wild ride we've been on," she wrote. "Praying we make a turn today!"

She added, "My body hurts, but I'm thankful for it."

Robertson announced her pregnancy with her husband, Christian Huff, in a joint Instagram post on Valentine's Day. The couple and their two daughters — Honey James, 3, and Haven Belle, 9 months — were all smiles as they posed with sonogram images of their third baby.

"Our hearts are so full 🥹 another little love joining the Huff family 🤍," they captioned the post.
