'Scarface' 35th Anniversary Reunion! See the Cast Then and Now

Scarface Reunion!

Brian De Palma's iconic 1983 crime thriller celebrated its 35th anniversary at the Tribeca Film Festival on Thursday night with a screening of the three-hour classic followed by a panel with the film's leads Al Pacino, Michelle Pfeiffer and Steven Bauer, as well as De Palma.

Al Pacino

Al Pacino got his start in Hollywood during the late 1960s but launched into superstardom in 1972 with his role as Michael Corlone in the Godfather series. He then cemented himself as one of Hollywood's top leading men appearing in hit films like Serpico (1973) and Dog Day Afternoon (1975).

Pacino, 77, went on to star in 1983's Scarface where he delivered one of his most memorable, and quotable, performances. Over his career, the actor has racked up five Golden Globe awards and seven Oscar nominations, and one Oscar win for Best Actor in 1993 for his role of Lt. Col. Frank Slade in The Scent of a Woman.

Pacino most recently starred as the late Penn State football coach Joe Paterno in HBO's Paterno and can be seen next in 2019's The Irishman directed by Martin Scorsese.

Michelle Pfeiffer

Over the course of her nearly 40-year career Michelle Pfeiffer has played countless iconic characters such as Elvira Hancock in Scarface, and garnered three Oscar nominations for her roles in Dangerous Liasons (1988), The Fabulous Baker Boys (1990) and Love Field (1992).

The actress, who turns 60 on April 29, recently took a four year break from Hollywood but after stepping back into the spotlight she has starred in the 2017 films mother! and Murder on the Orient Express and recieved a Golden Globe nomination for her role as Ruth Madoff opposite Robert DeNiro in HBO's Wizard of Lies.

She recently starred in 2018's Where Is Kyra? which follows the story of a middle-aged divorcee (Pfeiffer) who moves into her mother’s Brooklyn apartment while she attempts to get her life back on track.

She'll next be seen in the 2018 sequel Ant Man and the Wasp with Paul Rudd.

Brian De Palma

Before Brian De Palma directed Scarface in 1983, he had already been working in Hollywood for nearly two decades, directing hits like Carrie, the 1976 adapataion of Stephen King's classic novel.

The 77-year-old followed up Scarface with other notable films like 1987's The Untouchables starring Robert DeNiro and Sean Connery and the Tom Cruise-led Mission: Impossible in 1996.

De Palma's newest film Domino is set to premiere later this year and marks his first movie since 2012's Passion.

Steven Bauer

Steven Bauer got his start in Hollywood as Joe Peña on PBS' bilingual sitcom ¿Qué Pasa, U.S.A.?, but his portrayal of Manny Ribera in Scarface marked his first major role and launched the actor on a long career path.

Bauer, 61, has remained a steady force in the film industry over his 40-year career appearing in movies like the Oscar-winning Traffic (2000). He is also popular on TV, guest starring in hits like Breaking Bad and more recently starring as Avi in Showtime's Ray Donovan.

Bauer is set to reprise the role that launched his career in the theatrical reboot of ¿Qué Pasa, U.S.A.? opening in May.
