In an interview clip with Morgan Wallen featured under his album countdown on the Spotify app, the country singer discussed the making of his newly-released collaboration with Post Malone, "I Ain't Coming Back."

"This was written during the time when Post was working on his album," Wallen, 31, said of Malone's country album F-1 Trillion in the clip, which was also posted to his fan account @clubwallen on Instagram.

He added, "I've always loved this song, and I told him, 'Hey, if you don't put this on your album, then I'm gonna put it on mine.' And 'I Had Some Help' just seemed like a more obvious, straight down the middle, 'this song is a hit' type song, so he ended up putting it on his record."

After the "Circles" singer, 29, claimed "I Had Some Help," which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Wallen decided to keep "I Ain't Coming Back" for his upcoming album I'm the Problem.

"I love what it says, there's a lot of cool imagery," the "7 Summers" singer said, adding that "as a Christian," he loves to include "hints of that in my music."

Wallen released "I Ain't Coming Back" on April 18. In the chorus, he comments on what makes him the furthest thing from Jesus.

"'Cause the night I said, "I'm leavin'," I turned into Richard Petty / Broke my heart and I got even in my '97 Chevy / Now I'm walkin' on this water, mixed with Johnnie Walker Black / There's a lot of reasons I ain't Jesus, but the main one is that I ain't comin' back / Oh no, no, I ain't comin' back," Wallen sings.

Earlier this month, Wallen revealed that his album will include 37 songs.

"A lot of the concepts and things we said were a little more difficult with this album,” he said in a press release. "We were trying to dig deep on things and trying to find new angles. And I feel like we did that. I feel like there's a lot of stuff that I haven't said in this record, which I'm really, really proud of."

Malone, Eric Church, ERNEST, HARDY and Tate McRae will be featured on I'm the Problem. His song with McRae is Wallen's first collaboration with a female artist.

Prior to "I Ain't Coming Back," Wallen released "Just in Case," "I'm the Problem," "Love Somebody," "Smile," "Lies Lies Lies" and "I'm a Little Crazy."

I'm the Problem will be released on May 16.
