Mikey Madison Pokes Fun at Her Stripper Skills While Making Her SNL Hosting Debut, Weeks After Winning Her First Oscar: Watch

Live from Studio 8H — it's Mikey Madison!

The actress, 26, made her Saturday Night Live hosting debut on March 29, when she was joined by Morgan Wallen as the musical guest. Madison's appearance on the show came weeks after she won the Best Actress award for her role in Anora at the 2025 Oscars.

During her opening monologue, Madison — who was previously parodied by SNL cast member Heidi Gardner earlier in the season — poked fun at her stripper skills in the award-winning project.

Explaining that she "did my own stunts for the film, including the dancing," Madison continued, "So, it does kind of bother me when people assume it wasn't actually me on the pole, cause it was, and I can prove it right now."

Walking over to a stripper pole positioned nearby, Madison stood beside it, before the scene transitioned to another person — in a long black wig and wearing a sparkly black dress identical to the one the Scream star was sporting — performing a pole dancing routine, handstand and all. The real Madison then reappeared on screen, flipped her hair and gave a wink to the camera.

Elsewhere during the show, Madison starred in a variety of sketches, including one in which she played a candidate for jury duty, and another where she portrayed a doctor who has a tense interaction in the delivery room with a midwife.

One other moment from the late-night comedy sketch series saw the star play a student in an acting class with an over-the-top teacher.

During his first musical performance, Wallen, 31, performed "I'm the Problem" from his soon-to-be-released album of the same name. Later in the show, he returned to the stage to perform "Just in Case," also from the forthcoming LP.

Wallen last appeared on SNL for his musical guest debut in December 2020. The country crooner was supposed to perform two months prior in late 2019, but he was disinvited after he was photographed kissing multiple college women and partying maskless in Alabama, breaking COVID-19 protocols in place at the time.

During the 2025 Academy Awards earlier this month, Madison won in her coveted category, where she was up against Cynthia Erivo for Wicked, Karla Sofía Gascón for Emilia Pérez and Fernanda Torres for I’m Still Here, as well as Demi Moore, who was the front-runner, for The Substance.

While accepting the Best Actress statuette at the Dolby Theatre from last year's winner, Emma Stone, Madison began her emotional speech by reflecting on the "surreal" experience and growing up in Los Angeles. She went on to shout out her team, those behind the film, her family in attendance, the sex-worker community and her fellow Best Actress nominees.

Madison leads writer-director Sean Baker’s Anora in the titular role, playing a sex worker who experiences a whirlwind Cinderella story. She earned nods at multiple precursor ceremonies, eventually winning at this year’s BAFTA Awards ceremony.

The breakthrough star previously spoke with PEOPLE in an exclusive interview for the 2025 Oscar Portfolio, where she said she’s "definitely" been getting some exciting offers since Anora debuted last year to great acclaim. "There are some things that I am really excited about and have my fingers crossed," Madison said.

Saturday Night Live returns on April 5 with Jack Black as host and Elton John and Brandi Carlile as the musical guests. Anora is available to purchase and stream now.
