Michelle Monaghan and 16-Year-Old Willow Have a Stylish Mother-Daughter Date During NYFW

Like mother, like daughter.

On Monday, Sept. 9, Michelle Monaghan and her 16-year-old daughter Willow enjoyed a sweet day out for New York Fashion Week. The duo took in the Carolina Herrera runway show in chic ensembles, with Willow looking just like her actress mom.

Monaghan, 48, looked elegant in a dark gray cape dress with gold button details. She accessorized with black pointed-toe slingback heels and a black purse.

Her dark blonde hair was parted to the side and styled into effortless waves as she sported a simple, rosy makeup look.

Willow went for a more summery look, wearing a blue and green floral dress with an off-the-shoulder neckline. Her powder blue shoes and clutch purse complemented the colors in the gown. She wore her long, dark hair parted down the middle and tucked behind her ears.

Monaghan, who shares Willow and 10-year-old son Tommy with her husband Peter White, previously told Maisonette.com that she enjoyed watching her daughter's confidence grow.

“It’s little things, like when my daughter gets up in her classroom and presents something to the whole group. I am an adult — and an actress! — and that kind of thing still gives me anxiety,” the actress said in 2017. “So just to see that confidence begin to flourish, I look at her with such pride and I just want to encourage her.”

Other notable guests at the Carolina Herrera show included Liza Koshy, Chloe Fineman and Lainey Wilson, the latter of which surprised fans by forgoing her signature bell-bottoms in favor of a floral jumpsuit.

The ensemble featured an elegant pointed collar, a statement navy belt and flowy pant legs. In photos taken at the show, the Yellowstone star looked as if she was wearing a gown with a breezy skirt, a departure from her usual country style.

The Grammy winner, 32, previously joked to PEOPLE that "a lot of people have never seen me in a dress.”

On Instagram, Wilson opened up about how much being at one of her favorite designer’s shows meant to her. 

“I wore @carolinaherrera for last year’s #CMAawards red carpet, and on the morning of the nomination announcement for the 2024 CMA Awards, I’m heading to my first fashion show for #NYFW, with none other than Carolina Herrera of course,” she wrote.
