A British man who dreamed of being buried in a coffin resembling a Snickers bar has gotten his wish.
Paul Broome, a Care Assistant for adults with learning difficulties, was 55 years old when he died, according to SWNS.
In his will, Broome requested he be laid to rest in the Snickers-inspired coffin, something he had previously joked about. So loved ones made his dream a reality, even writing the phrase “I’m nuts!” on the side of the coffin as the “perfect tribute” to Broome, who was known for his “quick wit and mischievous sense of humor.”
The coffin also featured the logo for Crystal Palace FC, a team that Broome supported.

Ali Leggo, funeral arranger at F A Holland Funeralcare in Chichester, said they “love helping families find unique, heartfelt and creative ways to say goodbye to their loved ones in the manner they find most fitting.”
“Paul’s family informed us that he was one of life’s true characters, and his farewell needed to reflect that,” Leggo said. “The coffin was a fitting tribute to his unique personality.”

Leggo said Broome’s family “received nothing but positive feedback from those who attended" his funeral — and that many attendees were fond of the “personal touches,” which they felt “made the service a true celebration of Paul’s life.
She added, "It was a privilege to help his family bring his final wishes to life."
