Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard made Jake Gyllenhaal's new Broadway opening a true family affair.
On Sunday, March 23, the pair stepped out to support Jake, 44, as he kicked off the revival of William Shakespeare’s Othello at the Barrymore Theatre in New York City — and they brought their daughters along for the special occasion.
In a backstage snap of the Sarsgaard-Gyllenhaal crew, Jake could be seen surrounded by his sister Maggie, 47, brother-in-law Sarsgaard, 54, and their two daughters: Ramona, 18, and Gloria, 12.
Other big names who attended the opening included Samuel L. Jackson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Angela Bassett, Jennifer Lopez, Martha Stewart and even President Joe Biden and first lady Dr. Jill Biden — all of whom attended to catch Denzel Washington in the title role.

The family outing comes nearly three years after Ramona was previously pictured at a public event with her mother in September 2022, when the then-15-year-old and Maggie hit the Christian Dior Womenswear Spring/Summer 2023 show during Paris Fashion Week.
At the time, the mother-daughter duo both dressed chic in Christian Dior pieces and accessories, with Maggie wearing a black lace dress and a pair of oversized black sunglasses and her daughter opting for a gray plaid dress and black-and-white loafers.
Sarsgaard and Maggie welcomed Ramona in 2006, shortly before tying the knot in Italy in 2009. They then welcomed Gloria in 2012.
Back in December, Sarsgaard opened up to PEOPLE about how the longtime couple makes things work, sharing that they "take turns in terms of our work."
"I think that's one of the things that you just sort of have to do is let someone have their dance and then you take your dance," Sarsgaard said. "There is great value in that."

"I think at one point I used to think that I would work more if I could," he added. "But I think that's wrong. I think I would've done a lot more things that I was not proud of. So when I say yes to do something, it's some type of sacrifice for me. Not a big one. Everyone else has got bigger sacrifices in the world, but just talking artistically — I can't work constantly. I have a whole other life. I have a family."
As for the Othello opening, it didn't just mark a family outing for the Sarsgaard-Gyllenhaal crew, but also for Jennifer Lopez, who brought her child Emme to Broadway, too. The duo wore coordinating black looks for the event, with Lopez rocking a midriff-baring top, black fur coat and a floor-length skirt, while Emme wore a stylish black and white pinstriped suit.
