Kate Cassidy Tearfully Shares Memories of Late Boyfriend Liam Payne While Unpacking Boxes of Items from Their Relationship

Kate Cassidy is sharing her mourning process as she remembers her late boyfriend, Liam Payne.

Cassidy, 25, posted a TikTok video on Thursday, March 20, and revealed that she was opening boxes filled with items from her last few months with Payne.

“I’m packing up and organizing some things right now, and I’ve had these boxes sitting down in my basement for probably three or four months now,” she said. “I’ve been absolutely dreading opening these boxes.”

Cassidy explained that before filming the video, she was going through the boxes for an hour, and then she found one dress that evoked a special memory. 

“I opened this box. I’m really trying to pull it together now,” she tearfully said. “I found this dress at the top of the box. And this dress brings me so much peace and comfort because [of] the memory me and Liam had in this dress was just a memory that I will literally never forget.”

As she pulled out the yellow satin gown, she explained she wore it to “the first wedding [she] ever attended.” 

“We just had the best time and the best part about this is in another box I found these shoes,” she said as she pulled out a pair of white Christian Louboutin heels. “And I remembered the next morning, I woke up [and said] ‘Oh my God, look at my shoes they’re so ruined. I don’t know what to do with them.' ”

"We literally just danced the night away,” she said, after revealing the shoes were “almost new” before the special occasion. “We were dancing all night, walking around this venue exploring.”

“I can’t believe I didn’t throw these out because now … I’m so happy [I didn’t],” she declared. “This memory is embedded in these shoes.”

She concluded the video by saying she wanted to share “something that brings me a lot of good memories.”

Before Payne’s tragic death on Oct. 16, 2024, he and Cassidy were dating for approximately two years. The One Direction singer died after falling from a balcony at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires. He was 31.

The 25-year-old influencer had been vacationing with Payne before his death and appeared in various videos from his final posts on Snapchat. During their vacation, she left to return to their home in Florida.

More than three months later, on Wednesday, Feb. 5, she told The Sun that she wished she would have stayed instead of returning home.

She later appeared on the U.K. morning show Lorraine, saying it’s been “really hard to accept” losing Payne.

“I am trying to do my best," Cassidy said during the March 5 interview. "I have my better days, I have my harder days. But I'm surrounded by such a great support system.”
