Kaitlyn Bristowe thinks her ex is barking up the wrong tree.
On an episode of her podcast Off the Vine, the former Bachelorette, 39, accused her ex Jason Tartick, 36, of giving his new dog the name she once told him was her dream baby name. The former couple, who met through the Bachelor franchise, dated for four years before ending things in August 2023.
"I think it's mean and pathetic to name your dog," Bristowe began, cutting herself off to add, "Am I going there?"
"I'm making this clear — it's not that I'm not over him," she continued. "I'm very much over him. I ended the relationship, I did not want to be in that. It felt icky to me. I did not want to be in it, but to get a dog and name that dog my dream baby name that I've had in my baby names for 10 years."

"I even have a text that says to him, I said, the day I met him, 'I want to name my baby Teddy,' " Bristowe said.
As she reiterated that she does not have any feelings for her ex, Bristowe went on to explain why Tartick's choice of moniker hurt so much.
"I know I seem very angry, but it's more like, I don't like feeling disrespected," she said. "And I just have so many gross feelings from that, because for so long I was made to feel crazy, and now I'm like, 'Oh, I'm not crazy. I just saw what other people are seeing now.'"
The former reality TV star said again that she and Tartick were not meant to be, adding that she just feels "disappointed."
"What I want out of life is not what he wants, and that is what two people shouldn't be together like that," she said. "So I'm not fully angry. I'm just really grossed out and disappointed."
"This will probably be the last time I will ever speak on him ever again, because I didn't for so long, and that felt really good," Bristowe explained. "Because I had let it go."
In early March, Tartick shared on Instagram that he'd adopted a new puppy and asked his followers if they had any ideas for names. "My new best buddy needs a name! I have a few favorites for him, but before I decide, I’d love to hear your ideas," he wrote in his caption at the time.
"Ironically, the day I chose to volunteer at the rescue was the same day they picked him up from the local shelter. The connection was instant," said Tartick. "The rescue named him 'Rango,' which I like, but I’m considering something different. Let me know what names you think would work for him!"
One of the comments on that post suggests the very name Tartick ended up choosing. "Sooo cute! Teddy would be cute! 🐶 🐻," the person wrote.
Shortly after asking for names, Tartick announced he'd settled on the name Teddy. "Teddy Tartick! He smiles like a Teddy, has paws like a bear!" he wrote in a caption on Instagram. "I’ll have to work on nicknames, maybe Teddy T, Ted or maybe even Bear when he’s acting up."
