Jodie Turner-Smith has some extra help when it comes to balancing her career with motherhood.
The actress, who stars in the new TV series The Agency, spoke with PEOPLE about her role in the series and opened up about how she's been able to balance the many work commitments she has with being a mom to her 4-year-old daughter Juno, whom she shares with ex Joshua Jackson.
Turner-Smith, who had three shows premiere on television this year, says that although the filming for all three was spread out, it's been "a thing to juggle."

"I think I'm very fortunate in that I'm really supported by my mom in looking after my daughter," she tells PEOPLE. "Whenever I have to work, my mum travels with me and helps me to look after her."
"And just like any working parent, I think it's not a unique circumstance to be a working parent. It's something that every working parent juggles with, and I think specifically mothers. There's a certain level of guilt that is assigned to and felt by mothers because you're battling these two instincts."
Above all else, Turner-Smith hopes that her daughter can one day see that she's trying to set a good example for her.
"My hope is always, and I've said this many times: that I'm modeling fulfillment for my daughter," she says. "I really love my job. I love to do it. It makes me very happy."
"And I hope my daughter sees my work ethic and sees my drive, sees the love I give to my job and is inspired by that. And then you know all that you can do is then when I'm not working, I give her all of me."

In October, Turner-Smith spoke with GLAMOUR for their Woman of the Year cover story and said that when it comes to co-parenting her daughter with Jackson, things can get "complicated."
"It’s an adjustment period for anyone when they split up with someone because you’re used to being with your child all the time,” she shared. “But nobody hands you a manual. Everyone’s trying to figure it out."
Turner-Smith added, "Each parent has a different life, and especially if the reason why you’re splitting up is because you have different lives, it’s only further complicated by how you’re going to coparent.”
The first two episodes of The Agency premiere Friday, Nov. 29 on Paramount+.
