Jennifer Lopez is moving on from her marital home with Ben Affleck.

The actress and singer, 55, has purchased a new home near Los Angeles for about $18 million, property records show.

Lopez’s major real estate purchase comes after she and Affleck finalized their divorce on January 6, 2025. She initially filed for divorce from the actor on Tuesday, Aug. 20 on their second wedding anniversary.

The “Let's Get Loud” singer has been on the hunt for a new home since spring 2024. A source told PEOPLE in August, that she began quietly looking for a new home in April, around the same time her divorce filing states was her date of separation with Affleck: April 26.

At the time she was looking at a “truly exceptional” home in Beverly Hills that offered a high level of privacy on a quiet street with A-list neighbors, the source said, but she ultimately chose a different address.

In July, Affleck and Lopez put their Beverly Hills home on the market for $68 million and it remains for sale.

They first offered the property — which they purchased together in June 2023 for just under $61 million — off-market in June 2024. After struggling to find a buyer, they later chose to publicly list it in July.

Meanwhile, Affleck purchased his own $20.5 million house in Los Angeles on July 24.

A source told PEOPLE at the time that his new five-bedroom property "is family-friendly, but it could easily be transformed into a bachelor pad." The neighborhood, which hosts a number of entertainment industry A-listers, "boasts a sophisticated crowd—it's not trendy,” per the insider.

Affleck closed escrow on the house the same day that Lopez finalized the sale of her New York City condo for $23 million, which also happened to be her 55th birthday. The four-bedroom, 7.5-bath Manhattan duplex was on the market on and off for seven years before finding a buyer.
