I Recreated Jennifer Lopez's Polished Look with These Trousers from Her Go-To Activewear Brand

When I feel fashion fatigue — aka not knowing what to wear — I turn to Hollywood for inspiration. Oftentimes, celebrities have a go-to look that they opt for when running errands, and they always look effortlessly trendy while doing so. Those are the outfits I want to replicate and keep in my back pocket. 

On more than one occasion, Jennifer Lopez has opted for a comfortable yet polished ensemble that includes a pair of trousers and a tank top, button-down, or basic T-shirt. The pants are the common denominator of her workwear-inspired outfit, and I recently had the opportunity to test out Alo Yoga’s High-Waist Pursuit Trousers, which are the perfect pants to achieve her go-to style.

Lopez is also no stranger to the brand’s comfortable activewear and has been spotted in its buttery-soft leggings and joggers while out and about. While she’s worn a variety of trousers over the years in neutral hues like beige, black, and shades of tan, I always struggled to find an all-seasons pair to replicate her look until I tried Alo Yoga’s airy Pursuit Trousers. 

The high-waisted pants are lightweight, breathable, and comfortable for all-day wear. I own the gravel color, and it's a beautiful neutral beige that works with practically any top in my closet. They’re light as a feather and feel like I’m not even wearing pants — a major win in my book as someone who constantly runs hot.

I can confidently say they run true to size and offer the most flattering fit. At 5-foot-5, the regular-length hem hit right at my ankles with a pair of sneakers and required zero alterations. However, they are available in a longer length that is recommended for anyone 5-foot-8 or taller. The stretch-infused fabric isn’t constricting and doesn’t emphasize sweat stains, so for those reasons alone, they’re bound to be my new go-to pants for the office and social events.
