My Most Complimented Chairs Are These Compact Ultra-Soft Bar Stools, and They're on Sale

As a work-from-home shopping writer, I spend a lot of time in my apartment — practically all day, every day. When I moved into a new space a few weeks ago, I decided to prioritize comfort and functionality when decorating, in a way that I have never before. After all, it’s my home and office. 

While I wasn’t able to bring my desk to the current place, I found a set of teddy bear-soft bar stools at Wayfair that have transformed my countertop into the most convenient workstation during the day and a stylish bar top come 5 o'clock happy hour. I snagged the stools in a plush and inviting bouclé fabric with black metal detailing, which not only provides a gorgeous contrast to the white upholstery but is a sturdy base that makes me feel secure enough to actually relax. The under-$300 set includes two chairs and comes in other colors including gold hardware and black velvet-like material. 

Although I have a smaller counter space, the 26-inch seat height conveniently fits right under the marble island. They tuck out of the way and don’t take up too much room in my tiny 500-square-foot apartment. However, the compact design is still spacious and comfy enough to cosplay as a lounge chair — whether I’m kicking back to write a new story or pouring a post-work glass of wine. They’re also available in a 30-inch seat height for taller countertops. 

The bar stools have also quickly become the most complimented piece of furniture I own. Nearly every guest has commented on the stools. Shoppers can attest, as well. One customer called them “super comfortable” and said that they love the “footrest” and how they “fit the counter” so well. Another reviewer bought these in an attempt to makeover their bar and shared that they completely upgraded the space.
