Did someone call for a lawyer?
Suits actors Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty and Gina Torres reunited at the 2024 Golden Globes on Sunday night as they presented the cast of Succession with the award for best drama series.
The USA show, which also starred Meghan Markle and Rick Hoffman, saw an unexpected surge in popularity over the summer when it was added to Netflix in June. It racked up 3 billion viewing minutes within the first week on the platform and broke streaming records as the most-viewed acquired streaming title.

Markle, who departed the show after season 7 following her engagement to Prince Harry, shared her delight at the show’s renaissance in November. When asked by Variety what she thinks is behind the “renewed love” for the show, the Duchess of Sussex said, “I have no idea. It was great to work on, such a great cast and crew. We had a really fun time. I was on it for seven seasons, so quite a bit.”
“But it’s hard to find a show you can binge-watch that many episodes of these days, so that could have something to do with it,” she added. “But good shows are everlasting.”

Suits, which aired on USA Network for nine seasons from 2011-2019, follows genius and college dropout Mike Ross (Adams), who winds up working as a lawyer at a high-profile firm alongside some of New York City’s best, including Harvey Specter (Macht), Jessica Pearson (Torres) and Louis Litt (Hoffman). Rafferty plays Harvey's no-nonsense assistant Donna Paulson (who eventually becomes the firm's COO) while Markle's Rachel Zane begins the series as a paralegal and becomes a formidable attorney as well.

“I’m gobsmacked,” Rafferty told PEOPLE last month of the outpouring of love for the show. "You can’t really metabolize that in a real-world kind of way."
“I’m incredibly grateful, because our world right now feels like it is growing increasingly dark and fractured, and if escaping for a few moments through TV helps — that makes me feel good,” Rafferty said of seeing her and her castmates' work appreciated anew. “It's just as simple as that, knowing this thing that we worked on for 10 years is providing an escape for people, or providing connection, meaning, in any way, shape, or form. Even if that's just having a break from the news of the world, I'll take it.”
This won't be the last time fans will see Suits cast members coming together: Adams and Rafferty, along with Dulé Hill and show creator Aaron Korsh, will be taking part in a reunion panel during ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas, May 30 to June 2.
