A photographer is suing Sean "Diddy" Combs, accusing the mogul of sexual assault on the set of a commercial shoot.

The man, referred to as John Doe in the suit, says he was working as a photographer on a
"high-profile" commercial in 2022 or 2023 when he was approached by Combs, according to a lawsuit filed in New York State Supreme Court on Wednesday, March 26 and obtained by PEOPLE.

Combs allegedly struck up a conversation with the plaintiff, according to the lawsuit, and invited him to his trailer to discuss potential career opportunities.

Once inside the trailer, the plaintiff alleges that Combs unzipped his pants and told him that if he performed satisfactory oral sex, he would make his "career take off."

The plaintiff claims he performed oral sex on the Bad Boy Records founder under fear that he would lose his career and that when the mogul claimed it wasn't satisfactory, he threatened him with violence, according to the suit.

The accuser says he was then told to go back to work, even as he was "grappling ... with the trauma of the situation."

In a statement to PEOPLE, Combs' legal team denied the accusations.

“No matter how many lawsuits are filed—especially by individuals who refuse to put their own names behind their claims—it won’t change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone—man or woman, adult or minor," the statement says. "We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason. Fortunately, a fair and impartial judicial process exists to find the truth, and Mr. Combs is confident he will prevail in court."

Combs has been sued by dozens of people — men, women and children — accusing him of sexual misconduct, accusations dating back decades. He has consistently denied the allegations.

Combs is currently incarcerated in Brooklyn after being indicted on federal charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, transportation to engage in prostitution and forced labor. He has pleaded not guilty.
