David Harbour Makes First Red Carpet Appearance Since Lily Allen Split at 2025 Critics Choice Awards

David Harbour made his first public appearance just days after news broke of his split from wife Lily Allen.

The Stranger Things actor, 49, stepped out at the 2025 Critics Choice Awards on Friday, Feb. 7, where he sported a sleek all-black Dolce & Gabbana suit as he walked the carpet solo. He was photographed without his wedding ring on the red carpet of the awards show.

On Feb. 3, a source exclusively confirmed to PEOPLE that Harbour and Allen, 39, were going their separate ways after four years of marriage.

"Her marriage has been crumbling, and they have split,” the insider said.

Allen shares two daughters, Marnie Rose, 12, and Ethel Mary, 13, with ex-husband Sam Cooper, and the insider added that it has "been very hard for her and her girls” to go through.

"It's been a bad start to the new year, but Lily is tough," the source continued. "She's very good at prioritizing herself when she has to."

The pair tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony in September 2020, nearly a year after they made their red carpet debut in October 2019. They originally met on a dating app known to be frequented by celebrities called Raya.

Just last month, on a Jan. 9 episode of Allen’s BBC podcast Miss Me?, which she co-hosts with Miquita Oliver, the English pop star revealed that she had been going through a difficult time.

"I'm just so... I'm really not in a good place," she told Oliver. "I know I've been talking about it for months, but I've been spiraling and spiraling and spiraling, and it's got out of control." 

"I just can't concentrate on anything except the pain that I'm going through,” she continued. "It's really, really hard." 

She went on to share that she would be taking a break from the podcast: "I'm going away next week. You're not gonna hear me for a few weeks, listeners."

Allen also opened up about the stress impacting her eating habits, questioning whether her AHDH, which she was diagnosed with in 2023, contributed to her troubles.

“I don’t link a lot of things,” she admitted. “My body and my brain are two very separate things to me. I know a lot of people feel those two things are very connected to each other but with me, it’s very different. I spend a lot of time in my head and not a lot of time thinking about my body.”

“I’m really not in a great place mentally at the moment. I’m not eating but I’m not hungry — I obviously am hungry but my body and my brain are so disconnected from each other that the messages of hunger are not going from my body to my brain,” she explained. “I’m not avoiding food, I’m just not thinking about it … my body is, like, a few steps behind me.”

Although never directly stating what was going on in her personal life, an emotional Allen denied "vicious rumors" that she's going to rehab following five years of sobriety, which she's long been public about.
