Courteney Cox Admits She Owes Lisa Kudrow an Apology After Filming Celebrity IOU: 'I Will Call Her'

Courteney Cox had an eye opening experience on her recent demo day!

In the Monday, March 3 episode of HGTV's Celebrity IOU, the Friends alum got her hands on a sledgehammer and went to town as she joined Drew and Jonathan Scott in an effort to give a makeover to the home of a close friend.

And while Cox, 60, initially thought the gig wouldn't be too hard when she saw her former cast mate and real-life pal Lisa Kudrow appear on the show back in 2022, she soon changed her mind about what it takes to work with the Property Brothers as she's tasked with ripping down cabinets and busting through walls.

"In watching Lisa's episode, I remember going, 'Ah, Lisa, I can do that, that's...' Cox begins recounting during her episode, only to cut herself off: "No. I'm really proud of her and I will call her on the way home."

"You're not playing. I used to think of myself as a pretty strong little scrapper. Guess what? That's a serious job," Cox explained elsewhere in the episode, in which she renovates the L.A. kitchen, living room and playroom of her dog walker turned good friend.

Three years ago, Kudrow, 61, joined the Property Brothers for a season three episode of Celebrity IOU in which she took on a condo renovation to surprise her cousin and best friend, Thea. "Thea is my cousin but feels like my soul sister," Kudrow said of the episode. "She doesn't really ask for help — ever. And I know she needs a pet-friendly place, so this is just the best thing ever, because Thea means a lot to me."

"Being able to do this for Thea means everything and it will be perfect for her and her fur family," she added. "It will absolutely change her life."

The Scott brothers' star-studded series has previously featured the likes of Snoop Dogg, Ali Wong, Halle Berry, Anthony Anderson, Wanda Sykes, Zach Braff, Tony Hawk and more who team up with the renovation experts as they help A-listers give back to those who've "had a major impact on their lives," per HGTV.
