Former actor Jason Zimbler, best known for playing little brother Ferguson on Clarissa Explains It All, was spotted out and about in Queens, New York, on Wednesday, April 16. The love-hate relationship between Ferguson and Clarissa was a relatable part of the series for many viewers. Often calling him "Fergbreath" or "Ferg-face," Clarissa thrived on getting under her brother's skin, but the two still came together as siblings when it counted. Zimbler walked away from acting after the show's conclusion in 1994. Before that, he'd played Jamey Swift in The Edge of Night from 1983 to 1984. Speaking with PEOPLE in 2024, Melissa Joan Hart revealed that the cast of the beloved Nickelodeon show never stayed in touch. “I don't talk to any of the Clarissa cast,” Hart, 49, admitted to PEOPLE, adding that the show, which aired for five seasons from 1991 to 1994, was “pre-cell phones, pre-email, pre-everything,” which made keeping in touch all the more tough. “The cast just kind of all went in different directions,” she added. Nickelodeon/Courtesy Everett Still, the series was a pivotal point in the actress' career. “Being on Clarissa gave me that freedom to sort of figure out who I was while she's figuring out who she is,” she said. “So it's really a blurred line between me and Clarissa, we were the exact same age.” Close Leave a Comment
