It's been 20 years since fans first met Ciara — and it's time to celebrate.

The Grammy-winning R&B star, 38, marked the 20th anniversary of her debut album, Goodies, at Missy Elliott's Out of This World Tour stop at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on July 27, where she was presented with several multi-platinum certification plaques during her opening set.

"I will forever cherish moments like this! 20th Anniversary of Goodies Album celebration right here, on stage, in my hometown of Atlanta! Grateful for each person that’s helped me along the way," she wrote alongside a video shared to social media on July 28. "ATL is the city that made me!"

During a second show the following day, Ciara was surprised on stage by Atlanta City Council member Michael J. Bond to proclaim July 28 as "Ciara Day" in the city, where she attended high school and began working in the music industry.

"Wow!! July 28th officially marks CIARA DAY in Atlanta!!! Thank you so much Councilman Michael Julian Bond and Phillana for an incredible recognition. Forever grateful to my city. There’s no place like Home," she wrote on Instagram about the moment.

In the July 27 show clip, Jazze Pha, who executive produced the 2004 album for his own Sho'nuff Records in collaboration with LaFace Records, came out on stage with several other people after Ciara performed her hit "Level Up" to present her with the plaques.

"We talking about 2004, when this thing started off, CiCi," said Pha, before telling the musician Goodies has sold over 4 million units, the title track with Petey Pablo has sold 3 million units, "Oh" with Ludacris has sold 2 million units and "1, 2 Step" with Elliott has sold 5 million units.

Ciara then told the crowd, "I love you guys so much — so amazing. Keep believing your dreams."

Goodies peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 albums chart in 2004. Its singles were massive hits on the publication's Hot 100 chart: the title track reached No. 1, while "1, 2 Step" and "Oh" each hit No. 2.

The singer previously recreated the album cover in June, sporting a similar pink hoodie and gold cross necklace as the original and writing on Instagram, "20 Years later. Still CiCi. Happy 20th Anniversary Goodies!🩷🩷🩷."
