The summer may be winding down, but Burger King's discounts are still in full swing.

The fast food joint announced that their $5 Your Way Meal will be available through October during an earnings call on Thursday, Aug. 8.

For $5, BK customers can score their choice of a Whopper Jr., Chicken Jr. or bacon cheeseburger; along with the sandwich, they get 4-piece chicken nuggets, French fries and a soft drink.

The discounted food bundle was introduced on June 10 and it, like other “value offerings,” is “profitable,” according to Restaurant Brands International’s CEO Josh Kobza.

“We're going to extend that $5 Your Way Meal now into October because we feel like it is working perfectly for the business, and we think customers are loving it,” said Kobza.

Along with chains like McDonald’s, Taco Bell and Wendy’s, Jimmy John’s also joined in on the meal deal craze.

Starting on Aug. 5, the sub shop has a $10 Total Package Meal, a discounted food bundle that is meant to be “as hearty as your appetite,” according to a press release.

The deal includes the choice of an 8-inch sandwich from seven options plus a bag of chips, a dessert — like a chocolate chip cookie or brownie — and a regular-sized fountain drink.

Fast food chains have been fueling the summer with dessert deals, too.

Carvel is celebrating their 90th birthday and National Soft Serve Day with 90 cents soft serve ice cream on Monday, Aug. 19.

Customers can get a small cup or cone of any soft serve flavor, including the extra-early pumpkin cheesecake flavor. There is a limit of one treat per person and toppings will raise the 90-cent price tag.
